I am a very compassionate person who enjoys making others laugh and smile. I love to make people feel understood and accepted. This position seemed like something that I would be a good fit for based on my personality and the needs of the clientele. The thing that I enjoy about being a caregiver is being able to help others. A personal achievement that I am proud of is working on my masters degree and being a year away from completion.

I have been working as a Caregiver over a 8 yeara now and I love it. You get to meet new people all the time. I work my own hours. A lot of time the people I have worked for just wanted companionship with lite cleaning. I choose Saturday to work because this my second job. Enclosure I would love to bring Joy, Peace. Hi, I am eager to get back into the business of serving again. I served at the Opelika Housing Authority for 25 years and then retired in 2019. Serving the elderly/disabled was most rewarding. I would like the opportunity to serve your family as a caregiver. My mother/grandmother was disabled and I was their primary caregiver for years. I loved preparing meals, cleaning, bathing and the many doctor visits. We would talk and laugh for hours at a time. I consider myself to be a people person, trustworthy and I will give the shirt off my back. I am most proud of being able to take care of my mother during her last days. My job allowed to be off with pay for several months and it was a journey I will never forget.

I became a caregiver due to my father becoming sick three years ago and took care of him at home rather than hospitalization. I find in home care to be more personal and compassionate care. I also feel that people recover faster when surrounded with their familiar items. I started a flower garden for elderly and youths five years ago and it was a beautiful experience for the young who had never gardened and for the elderly; some who had no grandchildren.
