For nearly a decade, I've provided care for elderly and intellectually challenged individuals, doing everything I can to make their lives just a little easier. I take pride in my work caring for others. Nothing in this world gives me a sense of satisfaction more than caring for someone who is in need.

I am a very compassionate person who enjoys making others laugh and smile. I love to make people feel understood and accepted. This position seemed like something that I would be a good fit for based on my personality and the needs of the clientele. The thing that I enjoy about being a caregiver is being able to help others. A personal achievement that I am proud of is working on my masters degree and being a year away from completion.

I have been working as a Caregiver over a 8 yeara now and I love it. You get to meet new people all the time. I work my own hours. A lot of time the people I have worked for just wanted companionship with lite cleaning. I choose Saturday to work because this my second job. Enclosure I would love to bring Joy, Peace. 1) I'm passionate, caring, I love helping others to make them feel good 2) my mom got sick with cancer when I was 13 and I saw people having to take care of her and I could just see her eyes light up when people did the littlest of things for her to make her have a better day 3) I love care taking because of the stories you get told of their childhoods, and how they all grew up and from what I experienced they love to tell someone about their childhood if people would just listen to them 4) my favourite personal achievements is graduating high school and living through losing my mom at a young age and knowing that I'm gonna be okay

Humor is present, and I am able to detail-oriented and able to accept help, and willing to set boundaries. I love helping other people's is what attracted me to being a caregiver. Seeing the patient's smile is one of my favorite aspects of being a caregiver. I became a caregiver due to my father becoming sick three years ago and took care of him at home rather than hospitalization. I find in home care to be more personal and compassionate care. I also feel that people recover faster when surrounded with their familiar items. I love the fact of being helpful and feel that i am giving back to a generation that is wise and strong and should be respected for what they have left for the younger generations. I started a flower garden for elderly and youths five years ago and it was a beautiful experience for the young who had never gardened and for the elderly; some who had no grandchildren. I believe that in life you can learn a lot from the past. I love history and being around to lend a helping hand.
