What makes me a great caregiver is that I' am very passionate about my job. I love working for others, providing the necessary care to improve the quality of life for my clients, I' am very patient, I' am a good listener, I communicate affectively, I' am a quick thinker, problem solver, and very caring. I became a caregiver to help others during a very delicate time. It is not always easy to ask for help, or receive help from anyone. This is what drives me to help others. Hello and thank you for your consideration. I have been a caregiver since I took care of my grandmother 15 years ago. I have a happy optimistic personality, am pleasant and well spoken. I have a natural easygoing rapport with most elders. I know it isn't easy getting older. Not every day is a good day and I know when to step back and allow for a little more peace and quiet. The last long term person I was honored to care for was 94 years old. I was with him for 7 years. I managed all of his personal care, medications, doctor's appointments, transportation needs. I managed all household needs such as grocery shopping and household maintenance. The last 6 months he was bedridden. I took care of all his advanced care needs. In the last year leading up to his passing, I managed a 24 hour care team. When I care for a loved one, whether a younger or a bit older senior, I want them to trust in my care and to have a peace of mind. As a caregiver, I provide that.
