Caregiving is a very personal job, still I find ways to incorporate love, humor, cheerfulness, fun, hope, trust and optimism into my care. I look forward to building a close relationship with my clients as well as their family. I love that I get the opportunity to listen and learn about thier lives as it allows me to live vicariously through their many adventures, life accomplishments and travels. I find capturing their legacy most fascinating...respecting their dignity. Lastly and most importantly, meeting them when/where they need it most in their life's journey... be it a speedy recovery or their final chapter in the book of life.

I am 24 years old learning how health is important and how we as CNA's can make a difference to patients and loved ones by providing a sense of security to those who may be going through a difficult time. I'm a new CNA, and I'm also a mother and someone's daughter which means that my way of providing care has come naturally. I also care for those who are the most important to me and treat them with love and respect. Soon I'll be working as a CNA and I have pledged to provide care, equality and love in the way which I would want my grandparents to be cared for. For example, being listened to, given warm culture meals and also not feeling like they're alone. I would never want an old human being to feel like no one is listening to them and I also would never want an old person to feel like no one loves them. I have been a caregiver for over 24 years, I Love what I do it is truly my life. I specialize in strokes G-tubes, special diabetic diets light housekeeping and cooking etc. Very trustworthy and honest.

Caregiving was something that fell into my lap but found that is was a true passion. I am a retail manager and I have a patience for my customers that comes naturally. My fiance became very ill with heart failure at 38. He was the first person I cared for I took on this challenge with a 100% commitment with that I had to take an early retirement from my management position. I realized this is what I was meant to do all along. Unfortunately he passed away .My heart and patience with my fiance made me realize I can do this for others and have been cargiving ever since. I am very proud and honored to be given the trust and responsibility to care for someones loved one. For them to know that they can feel at ease when in my care is essential. I am very proud of that. It's not just the day to day duties that are important its companionship. It's making the client feel they are truly cared for by their caregiver and that is not just a paycheck. It made me so happy to know my clients couldn't wait for me to come back from my days off the feeling is so amazing!!! There are a lot of caregivers out there but good caregivers are hard to find. Our elders and people of special needs need interaction, compassion, human contact, music, stimulation, conversation not just handing them medication and a plate of food. I have many years of experience as a caregiver working with adults and seniors with different health problems. I am compassionate about my job, empathy, respect, reliable, agreeable and dedicated to my job are some of the things that keeps me successful in this job. I have experience with caregiving for clients that are under the age of 10 & over the age of 80. On a personal note: I was my mothers caregiver for the last 2 years of her life. She was on & off of hospice while she battled a liver & lung disease. Currently, I'm a Respite Worker for clients that have a range of health issues. (Downs Syndromes, Deafness, Autism Spectrum Disorder) I have completed my Senior Caregiver training required by the state of California to attain a license as a home care aide. I have also completed several Carelinx education courses & I am open to taking any class my client might request. My goal is for future clients & their families to feel ease of mind that I am a capable caregiver.
