I'm a great caregiver simply because I'm naturally empathetic , compassionate, enjoy helping people, and always give the best of me . I've served clients with trach/vent, suction & feeding tubes, colostomy bag, cardiac & foley cath, AFOs, wound vac, and IV's. I practice preparing healthy delicious meals, love animals, gardening, music, enjoy baking and lots of laughter. I'm extremely creative and always thinking of ways to help assure safety, comfort, and joy to my clients and their families. I've provided loving care to critical new borns, playful pediatrics, and exceptional companionship to seniors and people of all ages. As an intensive care nurse, dialysis & behavioral health technician, and certified nutritional educator, I've experienced working with an array of clients with various diseases and disorders including; arthritis, alzheimer's, cardiovascular, cancer, COPD, dementia, depression hospice, HIV/AIDS, gastrointestinal, hospice, neurological, seizures orthopedic, palliative, rehab, parkinson's, wound care, and post surgery recovery.

I want to be a care giver because I enjoy helping people. I'm in school to be a nurse so when we go to clinical I enjoy helping the patients in every way I can. I work at a rehabilitation center as an activities assistant and enjoy spending time with the patients and helping with the little things i can help with. As a caregiver I'll be able to help more and one on one with someone instead of going from room to room.

I come from a caregiver background, my mother and grandmother were both nurses. I absolutely love being able to help and to restore calm and peace to those who are in need. I started my nursing career at the age of 16 as a CNA, then I became a medical assistant, after that I achieved my LVN. I currently work as a home health nurse. I have experience working with Alzheimer and Dementia patients. I am looking to further my education and to obtain an RN degree in the near future.

I have been a caregiver most of my life. I cared for my grandmother with bronchial asthma and half a lung,, my mother had a brain tumor for several years with thyroid cancer and skin cancer, my uncle had colon cancer and Parkinson's Disease and lived with me. I have 2 grown sons. I have a paraplegic wheelchair bound husband who works as a hospital administrator for a convalescent/hospice hospital. I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse since January 2003. I love being a caregiver because I get great satisfaction from helping others deal with their health issues to meet their optimal health status, whether it be physically, mentally, spiritually, etc... if possible. I am also a massage therapist, singer, and poet. I use these skills if necessary also. I have gone on a Mission trip, voluntarily, to Ghana, Africa, to help triage on a nursing team, for Paul Wilbur Ministries. One of my most accomplishments in life. I also have volunteered to help deliver food to the hungry for Riverside Mission, among many other organizations.I also have worked as a nurse voluntarily for an autism camp a couple summers ago. I was a bus driver for the special needs children/young adults for approx. 6 years before graduating from nursing School. I have willingly been a part to give back to the human population whenever I can.

I believe that i will be a good caregiver because i am a licensed vocational nurse. I have the heart to heal and care for patients and have a compassionate attitude towards them and their families. I always put myself in place of my patients or clients to be able to provide them with an excellent care. I always make sure that i observe my patients/clients when giving care and reports any changes in their conditions to their families and to the physician. I am patient, dependable, trustworthy and flexible with schedules at all times. Able to perform other related duties as assigned.

What makes me stand out is Im compassionate, honest, diligent, pt. Advocate for sure. I have hobbies cause thats what keeps you out of trouble & in every way. Lol I know my meds and I'm anally on-time. BONUS Im up to date on covid vaccinations. And believe Starbucks can be a rx. Thanks for watching
