I am compassionate and empathetic, genuinely caring for my fellow man. I am a good listener who pays attention to detail, and I pride myself on being self-sufficient. I have completed training in various courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, including topics such as the last phases of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical studies, Alzheimer's and dementia basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, among others. As the oldest and only girl among four siblings, I inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later moved into adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and different parts of the world. Each person is unique, and their shared experiences often come with valuable knowledge and lessons. For me, there is no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday, knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother to 13. I've worked as a caregiver for the last 15+ years and counting. I love my clients and working with the elderly. What started out as a job became second nature and probably alot of that has to do with my cultural background. I loved it so much, I paid for my own training and certifications to be an independent caregiver. I got bonded, insured and registered with the state and I have several great references from the loving families of those whom I have cared for over the years. I've had great experiences with those who I have worked for and with, along with learning from wonderful nurses and doctors that I've interacted with during the care of many of my clients. I am very proud of the achievements I've made in taking the initiative to learn as I go with each client, and each client came with various conditions and ailments, and some with multiple conditions. It has been a great journey of growth and connection for me like no other and I find it so fulfilling to be able to help our elderly population in need. They have been all like family.

Personally to be a successful caregiver I feel you have to be very dependable, my clients know that I'm willing to do anything to make sure they are happy & satisfied with my work. Confidence is important as well, making your client look & feel good about themselves is something I always strive to do! About me, I always wanted to be a registered nurse since I was a little girl. I didn't get that far the goal was to take care of people. I love what I do. It's not about the money it's about caring and taking care of people and giving them the attention and love they need. As a caregiver, provider , and advocate of the disable community for the last 12 years my role is very fulfilling , I'm a very outgoing ,passionate , reliable worker who keeps a positive motivating attitude .
