I am hard working, patient and compassionate. I am able to handle any situation that comes my way, while keeping my composure. I was attracted to this field of work because I believe in making the best possible use of what you have. Being patient and "passive" is not always viewed as a positive thing, but if I can leverage my personality traits to build professional relationships that are mutually beneficial, I believe that is a truly rewarding experience. I am a natural problem solver and that's what makes this job enjoyable for me. I like the fact that every day is different and brings new challenges that translate into learning experiences. I aim to learn as much as possible, at all times, regardless of circumstance. I am proud of the fact that I am able to remain positive and take something away from each experience I have in life.

I have a big heart as a caregiver and the needs for those who I care for is very important to me and the family. What I enjoy as being a caregiver is activities of daily duties. I want to make sure the care for them is more important and the importance of their personal hygiene the care for their activities for light exercises and the hours for when they have eaten or not is very important before helping them with other things such as light housekeeping. My name is Barbara Duus. I am a native of Colorado and have been married 30yrs. I have lived in my current home for 28years. I have over 40 years of caregiver experience. My goal as a caregiver is to keep one thriving in their own home; to spoil them; to provide a safe, nurturing, loving relationship and companionship. The individual I care for will feel special and loved. They will feel happiness, joy, contentment, balanced, engaged, and comforted. I am a caregiver because this is where I find my fulfillment in life. I started caring for my grandma, "Nano," when I was 13 years old. She was confined to a recliner chair.I will never forget those days with her. I knew then, I had found my calling in life. Aside from that, I am especially proud of the hospice care I have provided. I am creative, "old school," compassionate, honest, organized, patient and very empathetic to my clients needs.

Hello! My name is Madison, but most people call me Maddie, dealers choice. I absolutely love being a caregiver! It brings me such happiness and fulfillment being able provide assistance to those who need it. I know how hard it can be to take care of your loved ones, and how hard it is to give trust to someone else to care for them. My mother and I were the soul caregivers for my grandmother (for over 10 years) up to the day she ended up in the hospital and passed away. It was so hard for me to let go of her to the hospital, but the CNA's, and nurses there were absolutely amazing, taking great care of my grandma and making sure we as the family were okay. That's when I decided to start care-giving as a career. Best decision I have ever made! Having worked at different types of care facilities for awhile, I wanted to give in-home care a try. Being able to spend more one on one time, being able to have an open line of communication with family/POA for any and all needs (big one), so many things appeal to me about in-home care, and all of it is based on being able to give the best care I can possibly give to not only help my patients, but their families. I want to be someone you can trust to take care of you or your loved ones, because if I take care of you, your family to me. Thank you for taking the time to read this! Have a blessed day! Always, Madison

I first realized I wanted to be a caregiver when I had to take care of my grandparents in their old age. My grandmother was a nurse and she inspired me to start working as a CNA. I do wish to pursue a career in nursing but have yet to apply. I enjoy the one-on-one conversations with the residents and care persons and just love hearing their stories.

Hello my name is Lynnett I am 32 years old and I have been working in some kind of caregiving big chunks of my life. When I was a teenager I would babysit family and people around my neighborhood, as I became an adult I worked as a nanny/assistant teacher at a Montessori school for two years . I worked with children who had autism as well as other behaviors. For the past five years I've been working in caregiving I enjoy working with the elderly very much. I've worked in facilities like Memory Care, skilled nursing as well as just Assisted Living. I enjoy working with the elderly a lot I was very close to my grandmother as a little girl and when I was 18 she passed away, but before she passed away I took care of her in her own home and that is kind of what got me into this field. I also worked as a cook for 5 years in an Italian restaurant and I only quit when the restaurant itself closed. I am a fast learner I enjoy challenges as well as new experiences. I am very compassionate, patient as well as nurturing. I know that I would be welcomed into your own personal home and therefore I am a guest as well as an employee so whatever rules or needs that your loved one has I am willing to abide by those. I know everybody has their own ways of doing things and I don't want to take control away from your family member I want them to know that I am only there to assist them and whatever they want me to do for them. I would love to assist you in anything that you need.
