Compassion is what I do best. I got into home health care because my grandfather got to the point he was bed-ridden before his passing. I witnessed his caregivers come in and not help my grandmother do any of the duties they were assigned. I completed my certification soon after and started helping clients remain in their homes. I've had heart problems since high school. Nothing life threatening exactly. My heart would race. My husband has helped me through that tremendously and it feels amazing to be cared for by someone when life is hard. I've had two surgeries to correct the problem and am fine now.
I've been out of traditional work for a few yrs as result.
Coming back I've decided I'd like to pay it forward. Bc of my problems I'm quite familiar with the heart. I'm also a human anatomy lover and I swear I'm not tooting my own horn here, but I am fairly intelligent. I'm capable of assessing situations and taking action under stress while remaining calm. I have experience there that no one else can match Bc I've had to learn to operate under extreme stress while experiencing heart rates of over 200 bpm. That's kind of priceless.
I love people. Truly. That's not to say they never stress me out, but I'm general people are a joy to me. I love getting to know new people. I adore when people trust me and lean on me. I bear others burdens gladly.
