I have been a caregiver since 2010. I have worked with special needs and elderly. I love that I can help and make a difference. I do my best to provide the best care possible. I recieved my CNA in 2018, I have NCI prevention training, CPR and first aid certification as well. Hello I'm Teiara and I am 29 years old. I'm from Maysville Nc. Im a country girl. I love being outside or at the beach. My first job was caregiving and I grew to love it. I have 12 years for care giving experience. I treat all my people I serve as family showing them the love and compassion needed while attending to their physical needs. I'm good at what I do and love it.

I enjoy to go out on nature walks and read books in my spare time. I have a 4 month old puppy that I enjoy to spend time with. Anything involving animals, I'd like to find myself apart of. I am an open minded person and like to say that I'm easy to get along with. I don't like to stop just because things seem hard, I keep going until I find a solution that fits best for everyone. I'd like to become a caregiver because I have members of my family who I already take care of due to their old age, I enjoy spending time with them and making their time worth it. It's a favorable career choice within my family. I enjoy spending time with the residents, engaging in conversation and understanding their wants and needs. It's very enjoyable to be around them! A personal achievement i find myself proud of is my lasting streak I'm grade school. I spent months to help shape and redefine the general vision and admission of craven county schools, also just getting students voices to be heard. I enjoyed the time I spent with the Board of Education and on the trips to meetings. Everything was wonderful!

I'm a very cheerful person who enjoys caring for others. I became a caregiver in 2018 and thought I'm not sure if this is for me but we will see! Well 4 almost 5 years Later I love what I do no matter the person, age or problems they have Being able to help someone and be their friend at the same time make me enjoy my work much more. Being a healthcare worker is more than just a job/career to me it's my life and I enjoy every bit of it. My most recent achievement I am proud of as a caregiver was helping an elderly lady a couple of houses down from me and she had fallen outside there was no one around to help her at the time, my family and I had come home from a night out so I put my children in the house and ran over to make sure she was okay and proceeded to help her up check her scratches and bruises out and help her inside her home. It was actually the same lady who gave me a hard time at one point but that time nothing else mattered.

I believe the traits that help you achieve being a great caregiver are always being kind and compassionate, understanding, and do everything with care. I was attracted to being a caregiver at a young age, I've always loved to help people and when my grandmother got sick I was always there to help. It's just an instinct I've always had. The things I enjoy most about caregiving is the love that comes from it, regardless if the day went by smooth or if it was a bumpy one you can always go home knowing you helped someone else out. One of the main achievements for me at this point in my life is just that I make it home at night and wake up the next morning. Tomorrow isn't promised so just being here is an achievement.

I am a 42 year old mother of a teenage boy. I had a mother that died young at 48 that I took care of that was sick almost my whole life and I've lost my father as well so I realize having somebody to take care of you and help you when you need it the most means a lot. And I am willing to give it my all and be there for somebody that needs it so a son or a daughter oh whatever the case may be can have a peace of mind because that means a lot. I have a clean record I have never been in trouble and I have no issues that could keep me from not being the best that I could be for somebody. I do drive I do have my own license and I have no trouble taking anybody back and forth to where they need to go and being their friend that they need daily to make their day easier!

I am a caring person who enjoys helping others. I have worked with children and adults with disabilities for 35 years. I experience joy watching people grow and enrich their lives. I believe an older person has a lot of wisdom to share. I would treat them with dignity and respect that they deserve.

I just recently moved to NC from WV. I have 8 years of experience in in home health care with duties including but not limited to helping clients with daily hygiene, preparing meals, cleaning house, running errands for client and transporting client to doctors appointments and to run errands. I have also completed CPR/First Aid and the Temporary Nurses Aid course.
