I'm 46 years old. I been married 19 years and have a 18 year old son who just graduated this year. I personally love being a caregiver. I've done it on and off for about 10 years now. I've always liked to help people and have customer service jobs but at the same time I knew I wanted to do more, so one day I was offered to be a caregiver and I accepted it and have loved it since. I was a private caregiver for almost a year and not to long after that I become a private caregiver for another lady for about the same time. I did get out of it for a little bit because when they passed away it was hard on me and I had to find away to deal with it because I knew in my heart it was what I was suppose to do and that's what brought me to Carelinx . I wanted to become a caregiver since I was a little girl and experienced my grandpa going through cancer and his caregivers were wonderful! I wanted to be able to provide that kind of care to others!

I have 6 years of patient care in a hospital facility as well as in a living facility. I am currently pursuing my studies in Nursing and hope to become a RN in the future. I am very proud that I can take care of my dad who is suffering from induced dementia due to a severe hemorrhagic stroke that he suffered 28 months ago. He had a tracheotomy placed at the time which we helped during the time he had it and we are grateful he no longer needs it.
