Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. I am currently a House Manager at a community for adults with special needs, managing all aspects of a home for two residents and two live-in coworkers, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, scheduling, and basic home maintenance. I also provide weekly Reiki treatments for some of our residents. I love what I do and have been told by the families of my residents that their loved ones are thriving under my care. I started in 2020 by getting my LNA license finally after working at maplewood nursing home for almost 5 years . The relationships ,and bonds that I formed with my residents is what meant the most to me .That I could help them with anything extra ,anything to maybe turn their day or moment from negative to positive .I have a very big heart and take pride in what I do .
