Hi, I'm Briana. I think what makes me a great caregiver is that its more than just a job to me. I like to think of the patients being one of my own family members and how i would like them to be treated with love and respect, and some dignity. I got into caregiving because my whole family are in the medical field, and i always told my grandparents once they got older i'd be the one to take care of them just like they did for me and i knew thats something i wanted to get into. I enjoy spending time with my patients, actually sit down and get to know them, make connections with them i think personally its something great to do as a caregiver because you get to help those that are in need, that cant help themselfs. I have worked mainly with elderly and individuals with disabilities all ranging from mental behaviors/outbursts to visual impairments and completely dependent on staff. it has taught me alot about understanding others who need help just to complete daily living skills and having a compassionate heart.
