I am a 44 year old woman who enjoys taking care of people. I have a heart of gold and I thrive when it comes to helping people. I love to cook from scratch and baking what they are aloud to have. I have knowledge on a few different diets. I have a photography business that I started this year and I have been licensed for almost 20 years. I also raise 4 children which my youngest does the same job as me. I am very proud of my children too. I have a husband that has a blood clot in his brainstem and he has mini strokes all the time. I take care of him when that happens too.

Even as a little girl I have always enjoyed helping people any way I could. I have always been drawn to the medical field in some way. I started as a PCA helping with medications, insulin, wound care, some personal care. I then became a CNA and have worked with many wonderful people. From helping with basic care needs, to being someone they could share company with. To full care needs. Dressing, dinning, bathing, physical therapy, helping transfer from sitting ro standing. Wheelchair to bed. I love being able to make someone smile in anyway I can.

I am a natural caregiver as caring for others is what my purpose in life is. I care deeply for those around me and strive to encourage others to maintain a sense of independence through empowerment. I love being able to help and have been working with L'Arche as a caregiver for 12 years now. My favorite aspects of being a caregiver are around meals and hospitality. I like setting up a warm, welcoming space and making a delicious and healthy meal for others. I have two children that I love sharing my life with at the moment and am thrilled to be the one at home with them. I am very spiritual and like to find the gifts of those around me and nourish them. I love to read, sing, and play games (word games especially), but mostly I love really taking the time to listen to someone and get to know him/her well.

I love being able to spend time with my clients and really get to know them personally! That's what makes this job so interesting.

I prefer 3rd shift since that's typically what I'm used to and it's easier with my daily schedule. I am very cari kind-hearted genuine Young Lady. I don't look at caregiving as just a job in my eyes you can't it takes a certain person a certain heart. I've always gotten along with any client I have had no problem I am there for them and to help make their life and families lives easier. Getting older and not being able to do things on their own anymore can be frustrating I've listened to many stories about it, that's another thing listening actually letting it known what they have to say matters because it does. I absolutely love caregiving and I believe that's why I am great at it because when you love what you do how could you not be. Hi! I have been taking care of living beings and organics my entire life. I get true joy in helping others. I am that person that would give you the t-shirt off my back or my last dollar to help. I recently moved my grandfather from New Castle, PA down here to Corning, OH after my grandmother had passed away. He was not being taken care of properly in Pa. He had several major medical issues going on. When I got him in my care he was 86 lbs. Within 6 months I had him up to 125. His highest weight was 154 before the last month or 2 of his life and he started to go downhill. He struggled with emphysema, COPD, CLL, prostate and urinary problems, a slew of heart problems, dementia, hearing loss and he was very combative when trying to get him to eat or bath. But he lived the best life he had left in my care until he passed this past October. I had him for 2 years. I am a very intelligent individual whom loves to garden, homestead, live off the land, read a ton, craft, cook and bake. I am a sewing enthusiast and make my own jewelry. I was told about this job option by a friend of mine who works for the company and she thought I would make a perfect fit for it since I am moving back home. I want to be able to care for more individuals as I did my grandfather. I am experienced in nursing home/assisted living care. In specific dementia and Alzheimer's. I was certified in med pass. My children are growing like weeds and they won't be home forever. I have several personal achievements. My most important one is that I am appointed by the State Supreme Court of Ohio to serve abused and neglected children and be their voice in court. I own a small business owner and opened up my own bakery. I did that and am closing/selling my business to move back home to be closer to family. I have lived all around the world and served proudly for our country. I am very knowledgeable about different cultures. I do have Ohio State & Federal clearances and background checks available.

I am very outgoing, I am a very good listener, I love to help people that need help I love to make sure they are being taken care of the way any human being out here should be taken cared of. Everyone that I have worked for they have noticed I do more then what is asked of me. I like to make sure my consumers and elders are happy and are able to live the way they want to live.
