Over 20 yrs experience caring for people of all ages and abilities. 5+ yrs as a CNA in PDX first working in a small facility for people w/ HIV/AIDS then onto temping at LTC Facilities all over PDX. 18 years working for UCP, OR w/ adults w/ CP & intellectual disabilities. 5+ yrs as an "Enhanced Worker" HCW doing in-home care for Aging & Disability Services. Now certified in WA as a HCA to work in-homes. Additional interests & education include: Cosmetology, Naturopathic Assistant & Juice Bar Manager. Study Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan & Meditation. Some massage school experience too. Strong interest in Nutrition and Whole Foods Cooking & Herbs. I believe we are here to help and learn from one another and I chose caregiving because it allows me to really thrive while hopefully uplifting or at least easing the lives of those I work with.

Caring for others and their well being is a passion of mine. I have been in the medical field in some fashion for the past 40 years. I have extensive knowledge and experience with the in home care arena. My charge has included children with special needs, adults and seniors with varying medical complications. My name is Jordan Fivecoats I grew up with my mom owning adult foster homes. I worked in the adult care home industry for over three years specializeing in Trumatic brain injuries. I started working At 18. When I was younger than 18 I volunteered at assisted living homes and helped around the house with activities and helping the residents eat, I read to the residents and just enjoyed helping them out, and that's what made me want to spend my time with elderly people.

I'm compassionate, creative, and calm, mystical, magical, and musical. I am also persistent, yet patient, when it comes to getting things accomplished. I specialize in supporting people with chronic mental health issues and those who otherwise need new routines and patterns to improve self-care. I enjoy connecting, supporting, and comforting you and your loved ones, particularly during stressful times. I am skilled with providing support with movement and energy therapies such as yoga, ecstatic dance, somatic experiencing and sound baths. I can provide guidance on things like daily meditations, dreams, affirmations, gratitude and other personal, mental, and spiritual support needs. Will travel for short-term care and/or personal retreats. Terms negotiable.

In 2014 I started caregiving. It wasn't something I planned on doing or dreamed about. I was in need of a job and a friend introduced me to the position. I have loved it ever since. I love getting to know people and their life experiences. Everyday is something new. All the different care plans and people are exiting to me. This helps me learn something new regularly and keep things from being mundane.

I love being a CNA! I was put on this planet to help people in any and every way I possibly can. I have experience working with residents in a memory care facility with all levels of care; bathing, dressing, feeding, lifting, transferring, and all other activities of daily living. I am CPR/BLS and basic first aid certified, as well as trained in mental health and dementia. I'm here ready to help!

After being introduced into caregiving, I completely fell in love with it. I absolutely love being able to help someone in any way! Caregiving was very natural to me, it was very instinct for me. Helping families that really want someone to ACTUALLY take care of their loved one. As I see it i treat them as I want my family memeber to be treated. I've been in the healthcare field for about 16 years. I have experience with elder care and DD care. I have managed group homes and started my own in home care agency. I am very passionate about what I do as I feel I was put here on earth to make a positive impact for those I serve and care for. I feel that if I can somehow make someones life more enjoyable or bring a higher level to their quality of life then I have done my job. These are our parents, grandparents, friends and family who need quality care and I know when I am with them, they are receiving genuine love and care. It brings me joy to the positive impact I make in their lives.

I have been a caregiver since 2014. I started off working with mentally disabled in group homes, then onto working with elderly doing in home care. I have my CNA license, and I am also Certified as a Medical Assistant. I enjoy being a caregiver, and feel I serve a special purpose in helping others. I also am in a LPN program to further my education in nursing, & will be graduating this April, 2019.

I have been in this field for 23 years.. I absolutely love what I do. I take pride in the fact that I can help somebody stay healthy and happy with quality care, in their own home . I began my career in my teen years, taking care of my grandparents before their passings, and knew then, that this was my calling. The relationships and bonds I have been blessed to experience and be part of is unmatchable, being such a special part of someone's life is irreplaceable to me, and something I cherish. I take my job very seriously, and safety is always of #1 importance to me, for my clients as well as myself. I am professional, a problem solver, reliable, and can work with any level of care needed as stages may progress, as I have worked with everything... from companion care all the way to end of life, and medical care such as trach's and respirators, etc, and everything in between.
