I am a loving caring person. I do everything the best that I can and I gave more myself . I am dependable and reliable . And above all things I am Godly fearing person. I am a great encourager to my patient or my client giving them the best option always stay positive. I enjoyed most of my time is cooking a healthy food and eat lunch together and chatting and visiting and walking and listening a story to tell with my patients or my clients. Straight out of high school I went into caregiving because it made my heart happy. I took care of my mom for four years and it thought me values and care skills only a mother could teach you. I enjoy seeing the little things in life improve in people... when I brush residents teeth for the first time (when I was new) and she said no one has done it in months, we because best friends. One specific (call her 219) resident had cerebral palsy but could still walk- we started to take 30 min walking training sessions each day I worked because I make time for her like no one else did. I still go visit them on the holidays.

I'm a calm, compassionate, resourceful person in my late 30's. For myself, I enjoy daily exercise, and preparing home cooked meals, and having a work-life balance. I recently helped with a historic building National Register application for a building in downtown Stayton, and am new to town. My mother lives in Salem. Last year I completed an Americorps VISTA volunteer term, enjoying the Rocky Mtn. area of Colorado. For fun, I like dancing, travel, practicing Spanish, and being on my bicycle. I am seeking part-time work, to go along with my not-for-profit job. I enjoy caregiving situations for the opportunity to slow down, practice patience, and interacting with people that often have really interesting stories, histories, or snippets of rememberance. Back in my college days I worked in a residential care facility for people with various developmental disabilities, so I learned about safe body mechanics of lifting, toileting, and helping with personal care there. Since then, I've had a business as a massage therapist, so I am cognizant of joint, mobility, and musculoskeletal relationships, and glad to encourage clients to complete stretches or strengthening that may have been prescribed to them. I am very comfortable with bodies, and feel a sense of reverence engaging in physical care, no matter the degree of function. I am finessed at preparing foods appropriate for specific dietary needs, and I enjoy cooking, so if your family needs that kind of support, I'm glad to help.
