I love to help others!!For 28 years it has brought me joy to know that I do something everyday that puts a smile on an individuals face. I'm giving back what was given to me, at sometime or another we all need someone to care for us so its my duty to give back. Raising my kids and finishing school so i could do what i love. I began my study in the science of nursing, applied myself academically, received scholarships and graduated with honors because I wanted a good job with the opportunity for growth and advancement. During my tours of duty I had the pleasure of working with a diverse population of people who taught me everything I know today. I learned to listen, be prudent, patient, empathetic and humble, and build trusting relationships. I didn't learn this from professors in college, instructors during clinical rotations, nor preceptors who oriented me to a new health care position. I learned from our seniors who struggle with dementia, our children who struggle with genetic disease syndrome, and our family, friends and neighbors who struggle with mental illness. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work in the areas of geriatric, pediatric, and behavioral health nursing. The people in my care revealed to me without saying a word that the good job with the opportunity for growth and advancement that I was looking for was with me the whole time. I was the good job that needed to be done, and I have people like your loved ones to thank for that. Early in my career as a registered nurse I decided to focus on home care because it was depressing to be surrounded by sick people who had to wait for pain medication, and help with meals, bathing, grooming, and toileting, and I couldn't help all of them. Home care affords me the time to focus on my actual employer's business at hand. That is your loved one's needs and concerns. Hello my name is anatasha but I go by Tasha. I just want to let you know a little bit about me. I am very loving, caring, compassionate, hard working, and reasonable. Ever since I can remember I have always loved helping other people out. I have always made sure that everyone else is taken care of before I take care of myself. Growing up my brother had autism along with a couple of my cousins. I loved helping them and saw no difference between them and myself. Once I got to high-school I knew I wanted to help with the program we had that was for students that had a disability or had trouble learning the material being taught. I always wanted to make sure life was easier for them and help them accomplish the thing that they wanted to. It is just the best feeling and such a reward being able to help someone who needs it. Being a caregiver isn't just about working and getting paid, it is about building a relationship with a client and making them feel good about themselves and letting them accomplish what they need to or what they have always wanted to. It's about making things easier for them and making sure they get everything out of life that they wanted.
