The process of choosing a caregiver is somewhat challenging so here is some about me : Getting to work with families has become a joy for me - My father was ill and I helped him in the last weeks of his life and found fulfillment in helping him when He couldn't help himself. After seeing my grandmother and grandfather in assisted living facilities without proper companionship or care from their caregivers and nurses I made the decision to make a difference. 8 years ago my father was diagnosed with Dementia. With his progression of the disease our family had to make a choice and decided it was in his best interest to be in a facility. By the grace of god he is well taken care. During this time I made decision to go to nursing school to become a licensed nurse. Having gone through the process and working in assisted living facilities I became well aware of the elderly and all the help that was needed, especially with companionship. A lot of patients have no family to visit or family that has no interest to visit. This has become very close to my heart and the joy I get to be able to spend with these patients is as rewarding as it gets. I enjoy being able to provide the skills I have learned and to provide the assistance and respite care that a family needs.
