This has been the most rewarding occupation . It has been a blessing in my life. I am motivated and driven to go th e extra mile in my care approach. I have been a CNA since 2018 and have worked in skilled nursing and floated to different hospital units at 4 different hospitals. I am currently getting my nursing prerequisites at Galveston College. I have a passion for helping others which is what drew me to nursing and care giving. My favorite part about my job is seeing a patient smile.

I became a caregiver because at the age of 12, my mom had cancer and I took it upon myself to care for her until she passed. My greatest personal achievement is with my patient, whom I cared for 6 yrs, he had Parkinson's and was unable to walk! I was able in the first yr to have him up and out of bed walking again! We even after that started going to the gym to keep him mobile!

I'm a very compassionate caregiver what brought me into this field is the fact that at the age of 15 I started to care for my grandmother who was dying of cancer and my grandfather who declined very fast due to dementia.
