This has been the most rewarding occupation . It has been a blessing in my life. I am motivated and driven to go th e extra mile in my care approach. I truly enjoy finding unique or individualized solutions or ideas . Everyone is unique. Listening , being interested,being loyal , being dedicated,being a friend,being supportive, are the things I look for in a person and in myself. I am outgoing.. not shy at all .. can adapt to all types of situtions and types of personalities. Hello my name is Margaret I'm a caregiver I'm also a hair dresser. I have 4 kids I'm a single mother. I love helping people because you never know what a person is going through you can be the one to brighten their day.. I'm vary organized. I be on time for work.

I have been a CNA since 2018 and have worked in skilled nursing and floated to different hospital units at 4 different hospitals. I am currently getting my nursing prerequisites at Galveston College. I have a passion for helping others which is what drew me to nursing and care giving. My favorite part about my job is seeing a patient smile.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I feel very confident in what I do! It's my personal passion. I became a caregiver because at the age of 12, my mom had cancer and I took it upon myself to care for her until she passed. I love caregiving because it's very rewarding and I learn lots of wisdom and knowledge from the elders. My greatest personal achievement is with my patient, whom I cared for 6 yrs, he had Parkinson's and was unable to walk! I was able in the first yr to have him up and out of bed walking again! We even after that started going to the gym to keep him mobile!

I have been in the medical field since 1994. I absolutely adore any of my patients. I have empathy and compassion for my patients and their families. I am 56 years old and have worked as a CNA for CRMC until 2001. I use to volunteer with the local fire department. Then in 2003 I took classes to.become a Emergency Care Attendant with the local ambulance service helping them on their scenes. Then in 2020 I was going to start classes to get my CNA license back but the classes were cancelled because of covid. 2020 I did online classes for medical office professional through san jacinto college received my certificate.

I am a caring, empathetic person who puts others needs before herself. I have always loved taking care of people especially the elderly because they can teach so much about life. I enjoy being a caregiver by putting a smile on someone's face and knowing I have made their life a little more fulfilling.

I'm a very compassionate caregiver what brought me into this field is the fact that at the age of 15 I started to care for my grandmother who was dying of cancer and my grandfather who declined very fast due to dementia. I love the fields that I work in because while making sure the residents are getting well taken care of I get to hear all sorts of great stories from them, they've seen and been through a lot and from my experience they absolutely love to talk about their past, the good as well as the bad, and I love to listen. I am very patient, I don't want the resident or the patient to feel uncomfortable or feel as if they're a burden or anything.
