I'm Alyssa Gates I'm 26 years old. I've always favorited older people. They are so sweet and need all the help they can get. I have my associates in science degree I graduated from Jacksonville college. I'm very happy and outgoing, takes a lot to ruin my day or get me in a bad mood. I always look at the bright side of things in life. I enjoy being a caregiver because I've been one before and I love being able to help and do what they can't.

I grew up in an extended family in the Philippines where we care for our elders as customary. I am very caring, responsible, hard working, careful & have a happy personality that my clients enjoyed. I used to teach school and good with kids but my passion is really for the elders. It is a very rewarding feeling at the end of the day when I know that I gave my very best to help to my client. I love to cook/prep meal, travel, run errands, and do fun things with my client. I will be a good companion & very dependable around my clients.

I have been working overnights for over a year at a group home with patients with dementia, schizophrenia, autism and cerebral palsy. Every person, no matter their cognitive or physical ability, deserve the same compassion and respect that every abled body person dose. I enjoy talking with my patients and getting to know them as I care for their needs. I have had clients that were more difficult than others but I can see past those flaws and care for the human inside. I am good under stress , great multi tasking , enjoy taking care of others I helped my grandma when I was young take care of her dad I knew then it was something I wanted to do . I'm a very upfront outgoing person. I've been a Certified Nurse Assistant since I was 18 yrs old. I was helping my Mom out with my Dad during his battle with lung cancer. I enjoyed giving my Dad one on one care. I cared for him while my Mother was at work. Allowing him to be comfortable in his own home. After he passed I went on to take the CNA, CMA, Phlebotomy class at Kilgore College. I enjoyed mostly the one on one time spent with my patients. Getting to know them. I've worked in Long term care facilities. Prisons, Home healths, Assisted living homes. I mostly enjoy going into the homes as a Companion. Just giving somebody the option of staying home. Helping them with all daily living routines. Allowing them to still stay active. Giving them respect, dignity. Also giving them all my attention.
