My name's Mariah. Being a caregiver is something I've done seems all my life. I grew up on a hobby farm and had many animals. I was there caregiver. They thought me responsibility, respect, patience, kindness, and much more. I chose this career path because of my father. He was very I'll in my teen years. I learned about heart disease and skin cancer. He's now in heaven cheering me on. I also took care of my aunt who had kidney disease and spina bifida. My family has taught me a lot about living life to the fullest. That's why I enjoy being a caregiver because everyone should live life to the fullest each and every day. My goals are to make everyone smile and forget there problems, even when you don't feel well a laugh is always a step forward. When I leave my shift at the end of the day, I want my clients to know there cared for, respected, and most of all safe. My clients are MY BOSS. I'm willing to go above and beyond. When family's get tired I'm here, I'm there back bone. I'm always willing to help give advice or be a listening ear. Please remember it's harder for the person then you! Always keep a smile!

Through personal experience with both my grandmothers, we found it difficult to find good quality and reliable care. Starting in High school I took a medical terminology course , and from there my interest in the medical field grew. I took the CNA course through Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville and LOVED IT! I opted to take the additional Advance Nursing Assistant course. I have worked in many different environment such as nursing homes, hospital and Home Health. After 3 years I decided to open my own business become licensed and insured to provide Care for others in their Home and it's been the Best discission of my life!!

I am looking for a full time long term live-in position. I am drug free, only drink socially and do NOT do drugs. I will relocate myself upon hire. Here's my short list: I am a 62 year old semi-retired Respiratory Therapist. I have my own vehicles. I am very organized and have lots of experience caring for people. Excellent cook, housekeeper and home organizer. I currently cook, clean and do laundry for my client in addition to his personal care and companionship. My current position is live-in with room and board and $525 per week salary. I work for myself on a cash basis. I lately worked as a live-in caregiver for an 88 year old who recently went into hospice care and has passed away, I currently work as a live-in Resident Assistant at an Adult Family Group Home for developmentally disabled. Prior to that, I was a personal assistant/housekeeper/cook for Racine's Case High School Principal (Wisconsin), until he moved to CA for health issues. Prior to that I was live-in Housekeeper/cook for a professional gay couple in Trevor, WI. I have tons of experience with children, and have a 35 year medical background. Also interested in positions in Ashland County, OH 44805 area and will re-locate for the right position. Please be aware of State Laws regarding live-in domestic care givers hours for work. There are time off requirements. 24 hours a day 7 days per week is not an expectation you should have. It's demanding work and all caregivers need time to recharge. I've always had a passion for helping others and wanted to pursue a career where I could. I worked in veterinary emergency care for 2 years and decided to see what other career paths I could take. Recently I decided to go to school to obtain my cna certification but have let the time needed lapse to stay active due to my most recent pregnancy complications. Through school I was able to get some experience during our clinical hours at the facility. I enjoyed my time there and loved having the chance to be there, feel needed and was able to make things easier for the residents-even if all I did that day was enjoy a small conversation with an individual. I am always pursing options to better myself and my future for my family. My sons are easily my greatest accomplishments and teach me how to love unconditionally, have patience and to stop and enjoy the simple moments in our day.
