I am personable and enjoy being a home care provider. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others by assisting them with their activities of daily living. I enjoyed caring for many seniors over the years and learned quite a lot from them. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have had extensive training in a skilled nursing facility as well as in many private homes. I also enjoy seeing the difference that I often make in people's lives. I became a nursing assistant back in 1982 and acquired my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the convalescent hospital where I worked. I then went on to work for several home care agencies and acquired my Certified Home HeaIth Aide (CHHA) license. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver for years. I am willing to commute for full-time employment. I have great references and will be happy to submit them upon request.
I am a very compassionate, patient, and nurturing person. I have the skills and experience in home health care. I am very passionate when it comes to helping the elderly stay in their own home. I enjoy making a positive difference in my clients life. Mostly I enjoy the little bonding moments that I share with my clients. I am personally proud of the person I have become and my choice of becoming a care giver.

I have great respect for others, and their privacy. I have had my CNA license for 6 years, and I did home health for 10 years, with a few extra training courses including, Dementia & Alzheimer's training, wound care, medicine and 1 year internship for Mortuary School. I am a quick learner and follow instructions given. I keep a daily log of all events, meds given, and give full daily reports when requested. I am aware of all HIPPA laws and abide by them. I am reachable at all times on or off the work schedule provided. I am willing to work extra hours/shifts in all situations. Thank you for your interest in considering my request of being a care provider.

My experience covers everything from general personal caregiving to caregiving for elderly with extreme dementia and supervising medications for care homes. With this much up-to-date experience/training, I am confident in working as a personal caregiver who can perform activities as recommended (e.g., lifting residents correctly, bathing residents, feeding, communicating to those with dementia, medication supervision, etc.) I am currently working full-time but am available all days after 2pm.
