I am caring compassionate loving and I would like to be treated well as I get older and that's how I treat my recipients, when I was younger a gentleman needed someone he can trust to care for him so I took the job and fell in love with it, I enjoy putting smiles on all their faces because at the end of the day it's quality of life and seniors need to be appreciated and celebrated being there to make a difference in the lives of people you care for

I feel like I am caring, loving and patient individual, I like to care for others that need care, I have an hear to listen when someone needs someone to talk to, I don't mind helping others, it's a part of my trait. I once was going to school for nursing, but didn't finish, so I worked in the acute hospital and convalescent home, plus in-home care for quite a while. I love caring for the sick and disable. I like to try and help and encourage others to get better and not to quit. I saw a friend of mine hold on after she was diagnosed with breast cancer, when the doctor's had given up on her, that I was there to encourage her to not give up and she lived a healthy life for a little of two more years, when the the breast cancer attacked her again, and she was tired and gave up and died.

I am a happy person who likes to help out others. i feel like my volunteering background in firefighting can help with care giving. We often get medical calls that range from heartaches to complications of health. My personal achievement that I"m proud of has to be me becoming a volunteer firefighter. I've had a lot of experiences with helping people out when they are in need.

I was raised in a caregiver family, my mom is a CNA still to this day. I received my certification in 1999 and other than taking a few years off to care for my youngest daughter full time I have worked in this field most of my adult life. I can't imagine doing anything else & I enjoy it immensely.

In June of 2010, I graduated from Ross Medical education in medical assisting. December 2010 is when I began working in health care. I have experience in home health care, private care, in a facility, hospital setting, independently through Medicaid, with Dementia/Alzheimer's and worked as an activities assistant. My experiences have been with individuals, couples and groups of residents. Working with rehab, long term care and dementia, I have gained an abundance of knowledge and experience.
