I been working as a caregiver for 10 years both personally and privately. I enjoy the happiness I can see in the clients, being able to speak to someone one on one or in multiple groups.

I am a Certified Medical Assistant who is extremely compassionate, friendly and outgoing. I have over ten years of experience as an In-Home Senior Caregiver with home care agencies as well as privately. My experience includes care planning, medication management and reminders, incontinence care, safe transfer assistance, meal planning and preparation, and much more. I am proficient in communications(even with clients resistant to care), time management, and assistance with Physical and Occupational Therapies. Extensive experience with Alzheimer's and Dimentia, Renal patients, Hospice, MS, Home Health, special diets, etc. I have Current CPR Certification, knowledge of Health, Safety and Professional Standards, Strong References, and a passion for Helping others to enjoy life to the fullest capacity. Hourly rates are negotiable and dependent on services needed.

I was raised in a caregiver family, my mom is a CNA still to this day. I received my certification in 1999 and other than taking a few years off to care for my youngest daughter full time I have worked in this field most of my adult life. I can't imagine doing anything else & I enjoy it immensely.

I am an STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) and also CPR , First Aid, and AED certified. I have been working in the health field for almost 8 years. In June of 2010, I graduated from Ross Medical education in medical assisting. December 2010 is when I began working in health care. I have experience in home health care, private care, in a facility, hospital setting, independently through Medicaid, with Dementia/Alzheimer's and worked as an activities assistant. My experiences have been with individuals, couples and groups of residents. Working with rehab, long term care and dementia, I have gained an abundance of knowledge and experience. My job is to be here for your loved one/self. I am here to make sure ADL's are addressed and companionship is shared. Medication reminders, housekeeping, cooking, bathing, errands and anything else required or needed is what I am here for. I truly love what I do and hope to share that with you and your loved one.

I am very social and really enjoy conversations with people, which I believe play a big role in providing good care to my patients. I became a caregiver because I've always felt like my good heart and want to make people feel better would guide me to a good career in healthcare. I genuinely enjoy taking care of others and making their lives easier and happier. The thing I most enjoy about being caregiver is how rewarding the job can be. Seeing the people I take care of heal or become more comfortable with their state of living fills my whole cup and makes the hard times worth it.

1) I became a caregiver because, I love the one on one interaction. I love giving people the undivided attention they deserve. 2) There are many things I like about being a caregiver. As mentioned before the one on one interaction, the special relationships that blossom, and the helping process. Sometimes the helping process can be coming to terms with a disability, injury or death and making it a positive experience. 3) My personal achievements have been fine tuning my skills as a care provider. I am adaptable to my clients needs, I anticipate my clients needs, and have given many dying or ill patients of mine a level of love and support everyone deserves. 4) I love to bake, cook, garden, hike, swim, arts and crafts and am learning a lot of sign language.

I decided to become a C.N.A. because I was getting frustrated with retail jobs not offering full time positions and constantly cutting employee hours. I had been working in retail for 15 years, and I was confident that I could handle stress, multitask well and always provide Superior Customer Service. I have always been very compassionate and patient, so I thought becoming a C.N.A. would be a great start to a more stable career change. I enjoyed the program I attended through The American Red Cross in Yuba City, CA. The lecture portion of the program was a bit remedial for me, but I found the Clinical components to be extensive with many items to memorize for all 25 skills performed. As I worked with other students in our labs, I realized that this would be a great fit for me. I have always been very professional and strive to have a exceptional work ethic. I have my CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications along with my C.N.A. I started out as a Caregiver through Interim Health Care doing home health. I found home health a better fit for me because I had the ability to make actual connections with people, and more fulfillment knowing that I touched a person's life for the better at the end of life. I don't know what the future holds for me. I have one more course to complete to get my A/S Degree which I may use to further my education. I am currently attending a Pharmacy Technician Program online and will start an externship in 6 months. I think my strengths are: team player, professional attitude(no drama), takes criticism as a chance to improve and lastly follows policies and rules even if I have to ask many times. I have Alzheimers experience as well as Would Care training for severe skin tears. I would prefer to work 12 or 24 hour shifts in my surrounding areas. I will be starting CHHA program as well to add to my experience.
