Hello, I'm Nicole and I was raised In Germany and Denmark before moving to the USA with my mom in ...well a long time ago. Growing up in a diverse social service worker household, where my Summers and all my school breaks were spent in camps and day cares with kids/adults with special needs, I never considered a career in anything BUT taking care of others. I remember my Great grandma going through the stages of Alzheimers and not fully understanding this, but feeling that she needed lots of love. While so many people are unhappy about their employment I feel blessed to have mine. I'm happy to say that I love doing what I do and I get to do it 24/7It is not a job to me it is my life, my history and my future. I am a highly energetic woman and I love to bring joy to others. At the same time, I'm patient and compassionate and I respect that everyone's situation is unique and needs to be treated as such. I spent nearly 20 years in case management and I came to realize how much I missed Direct Care, especially after taking care of my daughter. One of my favorite sayings is " It is an honor to take care of the ones that once took care of us' I have many many years of experience in a very diverse Social Service background and I don't shy away from any responsibilities. I love helping others and it's always been in in blood. I started working on the Telemetry floor at a hospital while in college and fell in love with the medical field and people. Caring for others is definitely my calling. Shortly after that I took great care of my grandmother who had dementia and knew me half the time. I'm glad I got to have that time with her. I have had my own health trials and have had to overcome more in my life that I ever thought possible. When I got to the point of good health again the first thing I wanted to do was help others and that's what keeps me going. I am warm, compassionate, funny and all around just a nice person. My grandmother inspired me, she taught me so much good things about life. She's my motivation the reason why i am the person that I am since growing up. I am dependable and honest I have the willingness to learn every day because there is always something to learn. I have family members that needed assistance with daily living skills. Ifeel that everyone somehow needs a little help, so I got into healthcare. I enjoy meeting and learning about the adventures and history of the person I care for. I find that so rewarding, I got to take care of my dad during his journey and that was a blessing for me to be able to care and spend as much time with him that is memorable, and I will cherish that time I had with him.
