What attracted me to become a caregiver is because there are some people that do not have family and they often become sad and give up on life. I have been caregiving since I was 18. I have worked with numerous services from adolescents to geriatrics. From mental disorders to just being a companion. I do light cleaning for patients. I document everything for families and my employer to know what is going on. I love being a caregiver. I get close to my patients. I've even sat with my own family. I'm in school for my RN degree. I'm a compassionate, patient, honest, and energetic caregiver. I became a caregiver in middle school when my father had a massive stroke, which paralyzed his right half of his body. I had to learn proper body mechanics, grooming, learning and sorting medications and assisting with daily living. As I got older I started working with The State of Florida. I really enjoy helping people because one day I'll be in the same situation and would want a compassionate caregiver to take care of me. I also really enjoy making people smile everyday it makes me happy knowing that I make people feel positive when I am around them.
