I'm a 28 year old mother and I've been a CNA since 2016. And ever since I was 15 I have loved healthcare and biology. My grandpa was diagnosed with dementia and passed away. I, myself, have faced quite a few medical battles young and have since been dedicated to helping other people. I'm very patient and observant when it comes to my patients and therefore I'm very compassionate about their physical and mental wellbeing. It's not just a job to me. I love helping, always have, and I couldn't think of a better way to use my passion and skill than to help people stay in their home despite needing a little extra care.

I think I'm a great caregiver because I'm very sympathetic and emotional when it comes to my consumers. I get very close and create great bonds with them, I would treat them how I would want someone to treat my loved one. I have been in healthcare for years now and I enjoy making someone's day. I became a caregiver because my mom use to be one and then she became disabled and I started taking care of her. I'm most proud of being a traveling healthcare worker because I can explore but yet still work at the same time.

I have over eight years' experience in the care industry. I began as a CNA working in nursing homes for four years before moving on to being a home counselor helping integrate the mentally challenged into society. After retiring from the workforce in 2010, I returned to work in home care for senior citizens. I have gained a wide variety of skill and maintain a professional connection with all my clients. I currently work with two home-care agency's and constantly educate myself to hone my skills. My compassion for senior citizens began while in middle school in the small town of Center Point Iowa.
