I'm originally from Florida and moved to southern IL when I was 10. I have a pet cat and have my own apartment. I love taking trips to different places any chance I get and enjoy experiencing the outdoors.

I am specialize in All Heimers dementia Parkinson's I also deal with paraplegic patients adults I have also taken care of non-adults. My mom was ill for 12 months and I stayed with her every day in the hospital transferring from hospital to hospital and I wanted to do better for our elderly people because I seen the way they treated her and I didn't want someone else's mother or grandmother treated the same way. Giving our patients the companionship and not making them feel lonely. I am proud that I got my GED and it took me a long time but I went back to college and did a year of college to which I'm gonna go back and finish up my masters in cardiac echo grams.

I am a caregiver because I love people. There are not enough people to give care and attention to folks who need another set of strong yet gentle hands. I like to listen, talk and generally make people feel important and worth while. Caring giving is rewarding work. It makes me feel good when I can ease a burden and make someones day better because I was there. I am very proud of my ability to make friends and win trust. I worked for a nursing home in Iowa. There was one resident in particular that was hard for CNA staff to get along with. She wasn't very friendly at first but I squatted down in front of her, and explained this was the job I chose to do because I love helping people. She could see I was sincere, and warmed up to me knowing she wasn't a burden to me, and I liked helping her. I am in my second semester of school for Respiratory Therapy. I am love being in my yard gardening. My first grandchild will be 1 year old this July 21st. I'm a pretty good cook and a tidy house keeper.
