Hello my name is Tamika Williams i am 42 years of age married for 28 years with 3 sons whom are married, i have one grandson, he's 2 years of age, i am a caretaker foe my own mother and have to do very little for her, she's a stroke patient, i've worked with in a Dementia and Assisted Living Unit caring for residents with memory loss, total care residents, stroke residents and total care residents,i've private sat in homes caring for an Autistic Male age 21, and cared for an Dementia resident while in long term rehab for her family, i am a people'e person and Love caring for whoever needs my help, my passion is caring for the elderly and dementia clients because i Love going on their journey with them making them feel comfortable and helping them to just be happy and be there for them and their families, my personal achievements have been to be there from start to finish with families making sure that there loved ones are taken care of the way that i would want myself or my family member taken care of if i needed care, I was attracted to being an careegiver at the age of 12 when i started helping care for my grandfather after school for my granny that suffered with cancer, he inspired me to want to help others and also my own mother inspired me after her stroke because i've been with her and so happy to see her approvements because of me pushing her to never give up.

I have been doing Home Health Care for 20+ years. I have taken care of a wide variety of clients right down to family. I feel that since I was taken care of by the state as a child, my way of giving back is to take care of my loved ones. I enjoy seeing the smile on my client's faces when I walk through their door. I am currently going to school as Occupational Therapy Assistant and am looking forward to applying it to great use with clients in the future.

Hi, My name is Qtijah Mitchell, I became a caregiver starting with family then I started private sitting jobs with my mother-n-law, eventually I just went off on my own and worked as a caregiver. I love people, I love to help others, I'm a very caring person, but I am shy and can be quiet. I'm loyal to my Clients. I enjoy just being able to help some one. My Goal is to make sure my clients feel comfortable with me and I will also want to be comfortable with them.

I genuinely love people, I don't care about the color of your skin, I just see people. I have been taking care of people in my family all of my life, I enjoy doing for others and seeing the smile on their faces. Putting a smile on someone's face who wouldn't usually smile. I nursed my mom back to health after she had her leg amputated from complications of Diabetes, I helped her get her life back by working with her every day until she got strong enough to use her prosthetic leg on her own, now I cannot slow her down.

I have been a caregiver before dealing with a elderly woman who had dementia I would play remembering games to try to help her. I truly enjoyed being with this woman seeing her face would brighten up my day. My mother as well was sick my entire life and I cared for her until she passed away. I know how to deal with diabetes, wounds, dieting meals/food prep, medicine giving, and amputees. What made me get into care giving was because of my mother. I enjoy talking to and being around elderly people because of their knowledge and wisdom they can teach you so much. A personal achievement for me is rising my kids by myself and I'm still achieving this blessing.

Hello, My name Is April Smith. I currently live in Shreveport La, im originally from Tahlequah Oklahoma. I have been a helper most of my life. Growing up my mom had Lucas and I remember always wanting to help her. Even though she didn't ask I can remember feeling like a super hero when I helped her. She was my Hero. She has always been in the business of caring for others. First as a CNA, for most of my young life. And then a an activies coordinator. So it's been a life long experience for me. Myself I have been a CNA, and now a caregiver believe in values, Dependability, and Honesty. I treat my clients how I would want some one to treat a family member of mine. I believe that families entrust us with a very valuable asset of theirs. And I believe a caregivers job is one of honor. Alot of the people we care for have paved the roads in this world we live in.
