Hey There !!!! I'm very invested down to earth and understanding to all situations here's some of the qualities I bring to the table. I Assisted patients with various activities of daily living, including using the toilet, bathing, dressing, preparing food, eating, drinking, and moving around. Followed patient care plan directives as recommended or instructed by nurse. Performed regular homemaking chores, such as doing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, doing laundry, and cleaning patient medical equipment. Ensured safe, healthy, clean, and uplifting patient environment at home. Provide direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the supervisor. Collect and record data on patient behavior. Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents, and staff.

I have had the privilege of being a home care companion for the past 8 years. Helping and caring for others is a satisfying and enjoyable occupation for me. I am quiet, easy-going and attentive. I prefer companionship but can complete light housekeeping and other tasks of daily living. I don't remember ever failing to an assignment where I embrace "PATIENCE" to top my challenges. That's also one of my considering skill. Because satisfaction plays a major role to success. I'd lose count if I'd have to explain about personal achievements I'm proud of but, I'll go with a recent one. Not too long ago, I started a new case where like so many caregivers have tried to work the case out but, found themselves in bad positions to keep up with the assignment. The patient family even said that was their last tryout for their love one because the patient is TOTAL CARE and very demented. She fights a lot and the patient is very strong. Thx God with my skills, I'm the only caregiver that lasts longer with the patient and I'm still running her assignment. I know what song to play to make her take her meds. I know how to approach her to calm her down and make her listen to me and I know how patient that I gotta be to have her get in the shower for me. She's doing way better than before. It's all joy now in this family's house

My interest in assisting senior adults began at 19 in my church. And even earlier, I had a deep love for my grandmother. I saw that I could truly help them. The interaction of youth and maturity was fascinating. Of course, the blessing came in the serving, and enlisting others in the serving. Gaining the trust of so many seniors. I believe in personal freedoms, honesty, respect, and fairness. I know that all of us are terminal. I know that 'love' is the strongest thing in the world, and must be used more. I can be be a strong advocate for my friends. I love many animals, (esp. dogs), classic rock, exercise, and scanning magazine articles. I am a news 'junkie'.
