I have been working as a care3for 40+ years. I love my work, like knowing I'm helping people to have a better quality of life. I also enjoy being a companion and making them feel appreciated and needed. I love being with people in general and have s lot of patience. I hung out with my grandmother and her church ladies a lot when young, always got along great with them. This experience helped me to decide to do caregiving. A special moment of my caregiving years was getting a lady who was embarrassed about having Alzheimer's and in a depression, back to leaving her home and going out to places, working with her flowers again and eating better.

Well, i would first like to introduce myself, my name is Jasmine Joseph. I Am 32 years old. I've been in the healthcare industry since before i could even remember! My passion for making sure that everyone around me is taken care of and in good health not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. I grew up in a very loving home, working under my mother's In-home daycare growing up, i knew when i was taking care of the infants and toddlers that taking care of people was a passion that i've always had. I've had many clients within the last ten years of my life working from Independent living Resources, to the Opportunity center. I've like to say that i come in and completely change these client's lives for the best. I Love being granted the ability to strengthen their minds, and prolong their lives as much as possible, and i hope to get the chance to do that for a family member of yours.

I have volunteered and done clinical work in many nursing homes. I am familiar working with elderly who have disabilities and mental disorders. I am very kind and patient. When one loses their independence that can be the scariest thing, I have much experience with this and want to make your family and family member as comfortable as possible. I have experience with hospice care. I currently am CPR and first aid certified I received my med tech license this year to be able to administer medications.

Some personality traits that make me a great caregiver are: I'm caring, compassionate, detail oriented, good decision maker, friendly and easy to get along with. I enjoy being a caregiver because I enjoy the warm and comforting feeling of helping others and making a difference in not only their life but the families life as well! What I'm most proud of about being a caregiver is the love I've been able to give and receive. For me this isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to enlarge your family and be given the opportunity to help your family members by caring for them.

I am light hearted, joyful, enjoy good conversation and ideals. I absolutely love people, no matter what! I love to laugh, energetic and like to get things done. What attracted me to this line of work is getting to assist some wonderful individuals and I get to learn from each of them. I feel I was born to help others and I have an eclectic mix of skills which can't hurt! I enjoy the opportunity to listen and learn from my clients and help in ways they need. A personal achievement I'm proud of is the significant cognitive improvement of one of my clients who was burdened with dementia. Everyday I strive to meet the highest level of personal standards in every day circumstances and find myself encouraging those around me to do the same, which is their very best!
