I was called in this field of work by God I love what I do and when I do it. I love embracing people with my smile and encouraging people that WE CAN DO IT. I graduated high school and I wanted to go to school for music but I loved taking care of people so I went for my CNA . I took care of my mom before her transition. My personal achievement is knowing that my resident is happy and the end of my work day.
Retired RN with 30 years of nursing experience, currently working as client/advocate and caregiver for patients with dementia. My nursing confidence derives from my thirty years of nursing . My experience as a RN included many years as a Critical Care Nurse and as a Casemanger for Medicare and Medicaid Agencys. My father had Alzheimer's so I do know how challenging care for your family or friend can be with this disease. Hello my name is Sela. I am a proud mother of 4. I have worked in the medical field for more then 15 years. I have always had a soft spot for caring for the elderly. My mother worked as a CNA and have always shared her love for caring for elderly it reminded her of her mother when she had to care for her. Since then I have always developed a soft spot for caring for elderly. After having the opportunity to start working with elderly my love and respect grows even deeper.
I became a care giver, because I was asked to help take care of my god father for a few months. I ended up staying in the field because I got another client by word of mouth and I absolutely love it. I enjoy what I do because I feel that I am making a difference in the lives of my clients not just because of their physical inability but the biggest part of my job is their mental well being. I try to put a smile and an Imprint on their heart every day. The personal achievement that I am very proud of, is that I have never had a client complain about my services. I pride myself on caring for my clients ,and their well being is a reflection of me. They may not always like the choices that I may have to make for them for their health but I have found, that they will appreciate the adjustments once they see and feel the benefits. I am very nurturing by nature . I appreciate my love and gift of servitude. I am a wife ,a mother, and a grandmother and I love family night once a month when we all get together and play taboo and eat a great meal together . My philosophy has always been "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." I also provide respite care. Short term and long depending on clients needs.

My name is Diane! I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of seven. In the year of 1979 I was a caregiver to my terminally ill grandmother. After she passed away in the year of 1980 I then further my education in health field to learn all I can about caring for the elderly. I attended a class in 1981 after she expired and I've been working in a he field since. Also in 2013 I for a caregiver for my Mom when she passed away in May 2013 and a caregiver for my daughter in 2013 when she flatlined and still her caregiver. So this is a passion I've had since I graduated in 1976 and still do the best in it. I have outstanding references upon request!

1. What actually makes me a great caregiver is my willingness to serve and I believe it's my calling. 2. I became a caregiver because, I have great compassion for individuals in need of personal one on one care. 3. Their are several reasons why I like being a caregiver. The first reason is that I am able to be there for individuals that are in need of help. Another reason I enjoy being a caregiver is because, My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and after the cancer went into remission shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with dementia. I eventually had to move her into my home and I realized how self fulfilling and rewarding it is to serve others with sincere humility. I feel that as a caregiver each individuals that I care for should receive the best of care, compassion, and the best quality of care that life has to offer. 4. My most greatest achievement is yet to come because, I'm looking to achieve more tomorrow than I have today. Life is a lifelong learning process and when you think that you have achieved your greatest achievement there is still room left for more improvement.
