I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. I had several resident tell me that I'm wonderful, and I had a tearful moment. It's a blessing to hear positive thinking from a client. I'm a great listener,I love caring for people.I started working in nursing homes as soon as I finished high School in 1977 from there I became Certified Register with the State of Texas from 1986-1999 working doing Home Health and Hospice and Private sitting I also took care of my grandmother who had Alzheimer's and a Diabetic ,I also took care of my Grandfather who lived to be 103 .Now I help my sisters and brothers with my mom who has Alzheimer's .I worked at Texas Department of Criminal Justice from 1999-2017 for benefits I retired and now I'm back doing what I love to do taking care of the elderly

I decided become a caregiver or caretaker to treat people like my own. everyone needs love or need to feel loved. People need help in all area. When my mom had a stroke I took care of her until she was able to do for herself, even when she was doing well I was there and still is. My field is caring for people who needs me. I want to do what I fill I was called to do. And my family members fill this is the field that best fit me, because I take care of everyone.
