I like helping others. I have a easy going personality. I love to laugh and make other people laugh. I take my job seriously and always give 100%. I have been taking care of people most of my life. I am an LNA. CPR and first aid certified. My best personal achievement was when my daughter was born. She is now 21.
I decided to become a caregiver because I wanted to help those who cannot fully help themselves. I like seeing the progress and growth of my patients when giving care on a day to day basis . A personal achievement of mine is when I graduated from the Community Action's CNA/HHA course because I put fourth a lot of effort into this course. I am a caring individual who relishes new opportunities .
Hi, my name is Sydney and I am 21 years old! I started working as a LNA when I was 17 and I fell in love with caring for people. My passion is working with the geriatric population, specifically Alzheimer's care. I am in nursing school at Salve Regina University and I will graduate May 2019. I live off campus in downtown Newport RI during the school year (September-May). Feel free to contact me with any questions, text or call me at 603-531-1219.
Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.
I have been a caregiver for my whole career, starting fresh out of high school. I was very close with my grandmother, her parents, and my great-great grandmother which is why I believe I am a compassionate and diligent caregiver. I treat each member as I do my own family. I have been told by my residents that I am patient and attentive, and I strive to do my best by each of them. I chose this work because it fulfills my need to help others and to create strong bonds.
When given the option to help or not I will always jump up to be the first to lend a hand. I have always had a love for helping others and enjoy the connections that can be made through a little tlc. My favorite thing about being a caregiver is knowing that I changed a persons day for the better. I am a very happy fun loving individual.
I spent the first part of my career working in an office but realized my true passion and purpose is caring for others. I was a CNA for over 10 years and I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their recollections of days gone by. Elders are living history and I always learn new things. I've developed strong bonds with my clients and their families and I look forward to making a difference in their lives, regardless of their situation. My duties typically include companion care, running errands, grocery shopping, medication management, meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping, and assisting with activities of daily living. I was formerly an EMT and therefore have some experience dealing with medical situations. I will cheerfully care for pets too! *** Background Screening Report and references available upon request. Thank you, I look forward to meeting you!
I first became a care giver because it was easy to get a job as a care giver but then I began to enjoy the fact that I make the difference between a good day or a bad day to my clients by trying my best to meet their needs and making them comfortable and needed .I am a mature woman who has both handicapped and elderly close family members so I know what care and compassion can do to such individuals.
So to tell you a little bit about my journey and how I became a caregiver starts with my mom being a compassionate loving nurse who taught me that giving sometimes is better than receiving. When my grandmother got ill with diabetes I took it upon myself to take care of her. The sense of fulfillment I felt helping her and other clients I took on encouraged me to take the next step and go for CNA classes. I took care of her for two years plus and After passing my Red Cross test, I am now a certified nurse assistant. Ive been a CNA for a year now and I've worked at multiple nursing homes and rehab facilities. I am not only responsible but reliable with a positive attitude and a ready to go mindset.
I have been involved in health care for roughly ten years now and truly love helping people and making a difference in their day. I recently returned back to school an have 2 semesters left before gaining my RN degree in nursing. I am originally from new york and i am currently seeking employment in new hampshire with an active LNA license.
