I am a highly qualified senior caregiver looking to assist and care for you and/or your loved ones. Memory care, Alzheimer's/Dementia, is an area most handled but I also offer companionship, light housekeeping, managing and medication reminders, incontinence care, feeding, bathing and grooming assistance plus a whole lot more. I am familiar with in home, skilled nursing, memory, assisted and independent living cares. I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I was raised to respect and cherish the sick and elderly at all times. I wanted and studied to be a doctor, but sometimes life gets in the way of our goals so care giving is my way of still helping in the healthcare field. I like seeing relief and satisfaction on client's faces when they are clean, their home is clean, they have a great meal and great company in their presence regularly. A personal achievement I am proud of is graduating high school with honors and making my parents proud. I attended business school, college and a university. Please take the time to contact me for all of your and/or your loved ones needs.
My caregiver career began about 2.5yrs ago when I began working for a man with ALS. In such a short time there were many changes to his life and as a result I gained a lot of experience and a better understanding of this disease. I don't pretend to know everything, but I do pride myself in using the knowledge I have gained to help other families in similar situations. In addition to care and assistance with ADLs, I can also provide nutrition based on your dietary needs whether it's a blended diet given thru a feeding tube or simply preparing meals for the week. I believe that a caregiver not only cares for the patient, but also the family. I'm patient, reliable and dependable, friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, and eager to help!
I became a caregiver because it is my gift. My professional career began 20 years ago in the healthcare industry. When I was 19 my husband suffered a massive stroke. I then learned being a caregiver was a second nature skill and desire. All of my clients appreciate that I am patient, compassionate, dependable and meticulous in the ways that I care for them. I live in the Austin area and have immediate availability. While I am not CNA certified, I do have all the nursing experience as well as nutrition and personal training. Blessings to you and your family.

When I started out as a caregiver I looked forward to spending time with people who I knew I could share life with as I served and assisted them with daily living needs. It has been such a rewarding experience as I have been able to do this and gain the rewarding benefit of working for and with people. I enjoy the opportunity to be able to help others with their ADL's that they need assistance with and to see them perform tasks independently when they are able to. My patience, the time I spend with them, and my positive energy are a few of my strengths that also help me to succeed as a strong caregiver. I understand that every person is different and at a different stage or place in life. It is a joy for me to help a client and to share life with the people that I care for.
What makes me a great caregiver is that I am able to relate to the needs of my clients base on individuality. I am very compassionate towards my clients. I try my very best to understand their needs and find a solution to it. I became a caregiver not only to help people who are at a disadvantage but rather because I care about people and enjoy being a part of their lives. For many years I've lived away from my father, but the moment I received a phone call that he had a stroke I dropped everything and went to care for him until he recovered. That alone shows how caring and concern I am about people who are unable to care for themselves. What I like about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to bring a smile on the faces of my clients no matter what moods they are in for that particular day. I go to an extended mile to make sure that their needs are met and that they are taken good care of and happy. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to graduate college. Both my parents are illiterate and for me to be the first out of four siblings to go to college and graduate was a very good accomplishment for me. And with what I have learned and experience I will continue to strive in what I love the most; that is helping people.
I am a compassionate caregiver who nurtures a heart of service. Growing up, I've always wanted to help people. After volunteering at an assisted living center and a Memory Care Residence, I realized I'd cultivated a passion for working with the elderly. I decided to take a job as a personal care assistant at Kindred at Home, and that passion has stayed with me since. One of the things I enjoy most about being a caregiver is getting to know my clients. I love listening to the stories they have and the lessons I learn from them. They lived full and wonderful lives. So I feel the least I can do is assist them in whatever they need to get done.
I have always had the passion to take care of people, i get told a lot that everything i do is in a natural way. I helped with the elderly since i was around 7 yrs old, I did volunteer service in my high school years. I have been a CNA for over a little 6 months, and I have met some wonderful people throughout my job. I enjoy to make them laugh, give them the company they need and give them back a little of what they gave their kids; care, companionship, and love. I love my job, and for me its more then only a job or a client/patient. And I am proud of what i do.
I am a very compassionate , patient, reliable, empathetic person. I feel empathy for my clients , I believe in treating people the way you love to be treated. I also love to put a smile on my patients faces. I also give support to my clients and family when they need it. I am open to learn things as long as it is within the scope of my job and my license permits it am good to go.

I'm caring and compassionate, I have a huge heart and honestly enjoy helping others. Which is why being a caregiver isn't just about receiving a pay check to me. To me its about making a difference in someone's life, although it may be a small difference. My main goal as a caregiver is to assist you (the family) in keeping your loved one in their home and happy as long as I can, to be there when you can't and bring you peace of mind knowing your loved one is being cared for. I love that I get to know the people I take care of, hearing the stories, being the person they look forward to seeing each day. Like I said, yes its my job, but its a job I'm very passionate about and take pride in.
