I've always liked working with elderly because I can help them do things that they can't do sometimes. I try to fill their life with joy and positivity, I enjoy the most watching their eyes glow and how they feel loved when they have company. I become their family when family can't be there. I love hearing their stories and their lifestyle before they went to the home. I love connecting them, and having them happy and treated correctly. The elderly can be like babies and can be in a lot of need so I love being able to help them and do what they need. Help them adjust to their life now. Hello! My name is Keesha and I have been a caregiver, for a little over 2 years. I have traveled the world, worked some of the best jobs, eaten amazing food, been to some spectacular shows, museums and events, but caregiving has been the most rewarding experience thus far. As a 31 year young woman, there is always significant age difference between my clients and I, and I think that's what makes our relationships so special. Each client is like a new book. I learn so much of their lives, who they were, their spouse, kids parents, etc. and they get to learn so much from me! Being a caregiver is more than just completing daily chores, it's about connected with the individual. It's understanding that they're in a new/last phase of their lives, and this phase should be treated with attentiveness, love, patience and respect. I love what I do and I think it's special. I decided to make a career change from corporate America to doing something meaningful and helpful. Caregiver is what I've basically done my whole life. Caring for my children, family, grandchildren, mother. So when I visit my clients I feel as if they are my mom, dad, grandma, I love helping other's with things they can't do. I also enjoy showing the elderly how to do things on the phone. Everything I do is for God's glory. I also enjoy cooking healthy meals and using food , herbs and spices as medicine.

The thing that makes me a good caregiver is the amount of love that I have to give to others,especially when they really need it.Helping people to face their lives everyday and be there when they need me is that made me be a caregiver.I am very compassion person and my heart feels good every time I do something to help them.
