I am a compassionate,kind patient, trustworthy and reliable person. I was attracted to caregiving because it is a job that has the potential to to make a difference in someone's life. I enjoy interacting with them and taking care of them makes me feel like am part of the family. The personal achievement that am proud of is knowing that my time ,presence and efforts can provide comfort to someone .

What I enjoy most about being a caregiver are the friendships the have formed. Being able to assist while engaging with clients is the highlight of my day. Even if they are limited in their communication, I enjoy the connection with them through something as simple as a smile. A personal achievement I am proud of is attending college while keeping excellent grades because I make it a goal to work hard at whatever I am doing.

Hello I am Alicia- I have done private home care for approx. 15+ years. I find it very rewarding to give the care I wish to receive for myself or family members if/when I may need help doing everyday tasks. I raised 4 children & now have beautiful grandbabies to enjoy & visit them as often as I'm able to. For the past year & a half I've lived with my dad caring for him and his COPD- on November 21st he lost the fight against his disease. I'm 47 just old women. I have worked in the medical field since I was 17 years old. All the way from the elderly to Brian injury , labor and delivery and orthopedic rehab. Ages range from pre-me to over 100 yrs old. . I enjoy taking care of individuals and watching the progression from being born or recovering from a sickness or helping with a disability to allow them prolong they happiness in life.. I enjoy seeing someone happy because of what they have been threw out how they can make themselves and there loveled ones be happy and proud of what they have accomplished in there life. See them succeed as an individual in there life. Watch them get stronger and overcome obstacles that may arise in front of them. Grow and get healthy as much as they can to proceed in the adventures that come before then in life. I like seeing people strong and happy and I like helping them get there with all the caring that I have and teach them.

I have been working in home care for over 6 years. I have done everything from bathing, transferring, range of motion, g tube feeding, medications, laundry/ cleaning, trac cleaning, catheter etc. I love to help other in need. I enjoy meeting new clients and helping families lives easier by helping in their homes. I am a mom of two little girls and being a mom brings me joy.

When I first started caregiving over 12 years ago I wasn't sure if I would be making a career of a caregiver. To be honest it wasn't for me after the first few weeks. Well something happened and 12 years later I am still caregiver because this is what I am supposed to do in life. I have learned that I have a gift for memory care and a whole lot of love to give. I always make sure that my daily task will get completed in time for me to take the time to visit with a resident or client that needs someone to just be there for them. To listen,to talk to,or just quietly sit with them. Maybe they want to be mad and scream and hit at you. Whatever they need. I love what I do and I do what I love.

I have a big heart and a lot of empathy and I believe I was put here to help those who need it. I love to honor my capabilities my helping those who are not as capable. I've loved helping my older relatives since a young age, and decided to take CNA classes in highschool due to loving volunteering at the nursing homes in middle school. I truly love being able to touch someone's life with something as simple as a helping hand. It's a gift to be able to serve others! I'm proud to be a host home provider and have a client living with me at home, it's a goal I was working towards for a while!
