What I love about being a cna is the opportunity to build a relationship with my residents learning about their life and hobbies is very interesting to me, I have a passion for what I do and the elders are my number one priority, I like being able to be there to help someone with things that become difficult.

There are many reason's that I have become a caregiver. One major reason is because I love helping and taking care of people. I believe caregiving is one of the most rewarding jobs out in the work force. You learn so many new things about not just people but daily living everyday. What makes a great caregiver? I believe it's the love for helping people, respecting privacy, being reliable, and always remaining considerate and kind, that makes a wonderful caregiver. I decided to become a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 years ago, at the age of 19. Helping people has always been something that I wanted to do and in my heart I knew caregiving was for me. These past 2 years have been filled with so much love and joy with my residents at my care jobs. Nothing compares to putting a beautiful smile on my residents' faces every morning and being there for them and helping them out when they most need it. I enjoy spending time with my residents and making their days more enjoyable. I think I'm definitely proud of myself for making it through the extremely hard days, but still being able to show up and be there for my residents to let them know that they are not alone.
