I am originally from Memphis, TN but recently relocated to Clermont, FL (August 31, 2019). I have been working as a care companion since 2008 and my job duties include but are not limited to: grooming, cleaning, running errands, accompanying clients to doctor appointments, cooking, medication reminder, exercise, creating arts and crafts. I became a care companion because I absolutely love working with and caring for individuals that are unable to care for themselves or individuals just seeking occasional companionship. What I love most about my job is providing companionship. I'm a graduate of Colorado Technical University with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Health Administration Services. I take my job very seriously and go above and beyond to ensure my clients and their families are satisfied with the services in which I provide. I have a list of personal and professional references willing to verify my work ethic and answer any questions in which potential employers may have. I am reliable, hardworking, dedicated, open minded, trustworthy, and I have reliable transportation. I am available anytime to answer any questions in which potential employers may have. Thank you in advance for taking time out of your busy schedule to look over my profile. #1. I believe being a caregiver has to come from your heart, a trait that your born with wanting to help others feel great about themselves, accomplishing what they are unable to accomplish on their own while assisting or doing for them, having patience, a warm smile or just a simple hello how are you doing /feeling today, respect for them.
#2. From as far back as I can remember growing up as a child I have always enjoyed taking care of others, started off by taking care of family members and neighbors. While growing up I traveled to take care of my ill grandfather, grand mother, and only sister, early this year I volunteered and helped my family out with my last living uncle no matter where i had to go or what it took.
#3. Seeing my clients smile when they see me coming lets me know that we together are doing something correct, with another day of smiles and laughter a waits use both, cooking, cleaning, going for a walk, to the park, sitting outside, or just relaxing doing whats best for them. having them tell me or direct me to exactly what they need done, family letting me know, providing them and their families with that comfort.
#4. After working on a job for 11 1/2 years and still wanting to go back to the 1 passionate job that I've carried in my heart for so long , seems like this is truly all I know is how to take care of other people.
