I think I am a great caregiver because I pay strict attention to the needs and wants of my clients. I became a caregiver, after I retired, because I love people and have a passion to help. What I like most about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to be of assistance in any way that I can for people. I have a very loving, caring heart and out of the many clients that I've had, I can honestly say, I've loved them and they have loved me as well. Besides all of that, I enjoy the wonderful conversations that we have and enjoy the many stories I've heard from them. I have patience and I like to show my clients the special attention that they want and need.

I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I have always loved helping people and when I was younger my grandmother developed dementia I felt very happy to be able to help her. I am proud to be able to put a smile on peoples faces even on the hard days I'm proud of the work I do.

I have always been known for being a kind person. I learned it from the best! My mother was my greatest idol and taught me very well. Unfortunately I lost her in 2011 to a heart attack. But she has passed on her legacy of kindness to me and I would love to spread that to anyone in my path! I would love the pleasure of assisting any and everyone for it is truly my duty. I am 57 years old mature, responsible and experienced caregiver from Bloomington.my background is in Elementary Education but in the last 10 years or more, I have worked as a Home Health aide in senior facilities and residential.
