I think I am a great caregiver because I pay strict attention to the needs and wants of my clients. I became a caregiver, after I retired, because I love people and have a passion to help. What I like most about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to be of assistance in any way that I can for people. I have a very loving, caring heart and out of the many clients that I've had, I can honestly say, I've loved them and they have loved me as well. Besides all of that, I enjoy the wonderful conversations that we have and enjoy the many stories I've heard from them. I have patience and I like to show my clients the special attention that they want and need.

I treat my clients like family and I love my job I just recently came back to this field of work although it pays less this is where my heart is at especially after loosing my sister I knew I had to get back to what gives me so much joy

I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I have always loved helping people and when I was younger my grandmother developed dementia I felt very happy to be able to help her. I am proud to be able to put a smile on peoples faces even on the hard days I'm proud of the work I do.

Patience : especially when dealing with the elderly, it is essential for a caregiver to be patient because some of the consumers might not know what they are doing and some needed more time to understand informations . Respecting my patients' privacy and dignity. Exhibiting a positive demeanor and kind tone of voice. Being considerate and kind when working with the patient. I am a very patient and optimistic person. I believe everyone has the right to live their lives the best way that they can irrespective of their condition. I am a compassionate person and that is what got me into the caregiver field in the first place. I cared for my loved one when he was recovering from surgery and since then I have caring for people especially seniors because they do not have the ability to do most things that they could not do when they were younger.
