Became a caregiver to care for my Father in Law, Hospice trained me and he originally stayed in my home 5 months before passing at 92 years old. Since that time I've stayed with individuals and couples in different settings with different medical conditions. I am empathetic , happy Christian woman; enjoy helping others-giving. Very sociable, dependable and caring. Love reading & cooking, If I can make a difference in the life of a loved one, then I have fullfilled my job duties:))

I'm a very Loving caring person with many skills. My calling in being a caregiver is to provide Companionship and making you feel comfortable and loved as if you were one of my family members. I have been a CNA for 13.5 years . I'm a single mommy of 4 children, Ages 22,18,17,9 I have had private family experience for at least 6 years , i have also worked in facilities 2 years ,as well as Home care 10 + years i prefer home care because i can focused on that one specific patient one at a time . I am willing to help with any daily needs ,errands such as medicine pick ups ,grocery store runs ,household supplies etc. I am Hoping to further my career in nursing in the next month or so . I love and enjoy caring for others and helping families in surrounding area's of my location of Ellenboro ,NC I currently travel to shelby ,Nc Kings Mountain Nc Forest city Nc , Ellenboro Nc ,Mooresboro Nc, as well Gaffney Sc . I would say my best personality trait is that I have a big heart. I have always been a caregiver, especially when it came to family. I currently work as a lead teacher in a daycare, I love my job so very much! I enjoy being surrounded by joy and love. I would say I love the connections you get with the family's is what I love the most. It's all about caring for the person and their family so they all feel heard :)

I am ambitious, patient, compassionate, dependable and attentive. My grandmother has been bedridden since I was a kid. At the age of 18 I took on the responsibility to take care of her as an aide. I fell in love with this line of work from there. I love being the person to make my clients day or make them smile. My personal achievement is being the first in my family to attend college.

What makes me a great caregiver would have to be my patience, compassion, consideration, empathy, attention to detail and my love for others. I treat others with the same respect that I would want. My mother was diagnosed with a savvier disorder for sleep apnea when I was only 4. 3 yrs later she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, nerve damage then formed from diabetes as well as sugar issues. 5 months later she was then diagnosed with lupus. She also had a fluid disorder, arthritis, obesity, blood disorder (polycythemia vera), She was never diagnosed but we believed she had formed dementia 1 yr before her death. I took on the responsibility of taking care of her at 17. When I was 18 she had to undergo a thrombectomy (surgery to remove blood clots). She had 1 1/2 gallons removed. When she came home I was her caretaker/caregiver for her surgery recovery. I took her to and from her appointments, helped her bath, fixed her meals, administered her medications and kept up with her medications and ran her errands. I would have to say this as well as the job I worked as a health aid has attracted me to be a great caregiver. I have also dealt with and still deal with epilepsy, My sister and my aunt have grandma seizures, my cousin has pseudoseizures ( not epileptic they are emotion stress induced). What I most enjoy is the one on one bond that you gain from the resident you are caring for. This type of job gives someone a nice sense of respect, It helps one gain more knowledge and helps family's in need of help to get that help. It takes a lot for someone to leave there loved one with a stranger, I gain a sense of respect and honesty to be trusted with this individual. A personal achievement that I am proud of would have to be taking care of my mom as well as being there for my sister, aunt, and cousin. There is a lot of health problems in my family and I am proud that I am the one that is able to help them.
