Hello My name is Laterria Pusha I have been a CNA for 6 years now. I started being a caregiver because I was suppose take care of my step father once he got ill but he never made it because he gave up and I wanted to make a change and let's peopl know it's still hope. I enjoy helping and learn about someone who once could've did everything for themselves my heart's is made for this and I will never stop.

I am very positive and upbeat, I am kind and caring, I am very passionate in what I do. There is nothing else I would rather be doing than helping someone else in need. That is where my heart is at. I`ve been in the caretaking field of work for 34 years and have no desire to stop anytime soon. I`ve always felt a call on my life to be a caregiver, my heart has never been drawn anywhere else, it's just that simple. I love what I do. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to help another person, no matter what level of care they require.

I'm very loving and caring and very gentle and love what I do as a caregiver. I first got into becoming a caregiver when my mom got sick and needed a lot of my help. And I fell in love with helping people that needed my help the most.

I am very personable, outgoing and patient. I became a in home caregiver because I love helping the elderly live more independently from the comfort of their own home. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to help seniors gain their confidence back. As a senior losing independence can be very frustrating and causes seniors to become very angry and in some cases lead to depression. Helping these seniors live comfortably from their home and making them comfortable at home while coping with losing their independence is very satisfying and my greatest achievement yet.

I'm very passionate about being a caregiver because I'm able to help the elderly and help them understand that they are not alone. To show them Love, Care, And companionship. Having patience and listening to the needs and wants of others helped me improve myself. What attracted me to caregiving was helping my great grandmother Betty Jones who was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and later on suffered from her Diabetes. Caring for her and listening to her tell me about her younger days on earth really opened my eyes to something special. At that time I was 12 years old so I was pretty young to join the caregiving business. But instead I went on to help my Grandmother with her private clients and learn the ropes and actually get my hands on experience. What I enjoy most about caregiving is actually talking with my clients and giving them that security, Comfort, and love that they long for. I enjoy taking them for walks and listen to them tell me all about their younger day's. The best part overall is being there and giving their family a break time when things get pretty hectic. A personal achievement I am proud of would be having patience and learning myself. As a 21 year old that's still learning and is very opened to other's opinion can be a bit challenging. But by the grace of GOD and giving him my time I've learned how to conquer anything. I've learned that everything doesn't need a reaction and that you are in controlled of your behavior. I've also took the time to help my uncle start a Organization called Kidz4Kidz and that's a huge accomplishment for me. i'm able to help and Guide them and also share my story with them as well

I worked as a Special Needs Assistant in the school system. I have a disabled older sister I help take care of so I decided to step out on faith and I became self employed. I've been a caregiver/ Companion for over 20 years part time. I love what I do and that's working for families that depend on me cause I'm dependable and I love what I do. I received my Certification as a CNA in 2011 and I just received my Associates of Arts/IT on February 14, 2021.

I'm a great caregiver because I take up my time with my patient & take the time in actually getting to know them & I talk to the patients to put myself into their shoes about how theyre feeling & what I can do to make their situation better or more comfortable. The love that I have for older people is what really drew me to care giving & especially after helping a few members of my family through their stages of when they were sick & couldn't do anything for their selves . I enjoy mostly taking care of the patient & seeing a smile on their face to know I either did, said or completed something to have them in a better place instead of their mind on their sickness & incapabilities. I'm proud because even after the trials & tribulations I've encountered I've managed to make someone's day
