I have always been a caregiver naturally. I love helping others and find it very rewarding. I have worked as a CNA in the past and enjoyed it very much. My daughter became sick and I needed to work from home for awhile and started a daycare for income. Since moving to Hawaii I would like to move forward with my ultimate goal which is to return to school to complete my training to become a Registered Nurse. My CNA license is expired but I will be renewing it this summer. I really look forward to meeting new people and continuing my caregiving career. For fun I love to write poetry and short stories and do anything outdoors. Crafting comes naturally to me and I love learning DIY projects.

Hi! My name is Libby and I am currently attending UH-Hilo for Environmental Science. When I have days off I hang out with my elderly friend at his house by the beach and we run errands, go shopping and cook food for the week. I enjoy helping out and hanging out!

Hello. I just wanted to say sorry about my profile picture. I was trying to angle my camera right it took and saved the picture of me and loaded it I cannot delete or change it is silly Lol. As a caregiver I have patiences, kindness, and a sense humor I like to talk story. I have experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's patients and Autistic children and people with mobility issues and disabilities. I can clean, do laundry, help with other chores, medications, DR visits or other appointments. Shopping or an outing for a change of scenery to the beach, park or the mall. Caregiving is something I have been involved with in some capacity my whole life. My family and anyone who needs help. Even if it's just getting something off the top shelf for someone at the grocery store. I like the feeling of making someone's day better it gives me a personal sense of accomplishment. Making the kids and adults I took care of appreciate our time together so much they would look forward to my next visit and ask for me on my non visit day's.

Aloha, I am a patient, attentive, and compassionate person. I have worked with elderly affected by Alzheimer's disease, strokes, and assist with ADLs. I enjoy making people smile while they accomplish their task and believe that everyone should experience joy at any stage of life.

My mom's health has been quite a rollercoaster for her. She's currently in the hospital. Been hospitalized since January of this year. After helping her over some years with her business and caring for her, it's made love serving others even more. I've been by my mother's side for the last so many months. Still managing to work, do online schooling and be the for her makes me want to help others even more. I've attended workshops and seminars regarding health issues. With the skills and knowledge I've gained from helping nurses and caring for my mom, I can use it towards caring for others especially the elderly.

I'm am currently working for Family Programs Hawaii and am seeking part time home health care employment. Night shifts are the best availability but also willing to work weekends and holidays. I am more flexible with dayshift during the summers. I have been CNA trained and certified and have had over 15 years experience working in Hilo medical center and home health care.

I'm just starting to get into care giving, so I may not have much experience on paper to prove it. But I take care of my disabled father who is currently going to dialysis. I always wanted to work with the elderly even if it's cleaning up after them or giving them a helping hand. I'm a very quick learner and a good listener also.

Personable, adaptive, alert

For myself, I have/had learn being a caregiver from my grandparents. My grandfather had bad asthma and had heart problem. I had started taking care of him since age of 6years old. I sleep side by side with him so that it is easy at night from time to time for him to awake me to get his medication, massage his legs if needed. From there I stay up between 2am-3am to assure he is okay to fall back asleep then I'll head back to bed. 6am I will be up make sure his coffee is brew ready to go. Through out the day make sure his meal is prepared. Late afternoon make sure he is bath ready for bed. This will be my task on a daily basis. Til his last breathe. My grandmother she had bad diabetes I was the only grand daughter that she was comfortable with so I will travel with her at all times, doctor visits & flights. It was a repeat of what I did to my grandfather till my grandmother's last breathe. Since they past I always have respect & passion catering to elderly people because it takes me back to how I had taken care of my grandparents.
