I was introduced to the world of healthcare and caregiving when I was just a child transitioning into my teen years. I took care of my grandmother when she was ill up until she passed and she would constantly tell me how fine of a nurse I would be. It was this experience that attracted me to the field of caregiving. Following this I took some CNA classes and it was caregiving from there. I have a passion for helping people and being a caregiver has enabled me to fulfill this passion. It joys me to see my patients happy and full of positivity. It makes me smile to know that the care I provide can make them feel better, and makes them feel comfortable, allowing them to feel loved and cared for. This is what I enjoy most about my field of work. I am a great listener and pay much attention to their needs, and their care, and am a very effective communicator. I love being a caregiver.

I became a care giver back in 1996 for an elderly couple,whom i adored. so i decided to become a nurse aid/certified care giver, I was living in ohio at the time .then i worked in several homes with the elderly and ive worked for different nursing agencies.and hospitals. ive pretty much covered all areas. from dementia to Alzheimer's to special needs to lock down( mental) units , i have greatly enjoyed helping people and putting smiles on many peoples faces about myself i love to go fishing 4 wheeling, the beach and most of all spending time with my family. I have recently relocated to kingman, from north carolina and i am excited and ready to meet new people. and( I have) and will drive up to an hour and a half a day for your loved ones care . i really enjoy my work, and meeting new people and learning about their cultures and backgrounds

I have been a certified nursing assistant for 10 years now. I have experience in a hospital setting, nursing home setting, private care, hospice and home health. I absolutely love helping others and those who need assistance. It is rewarding for me to see a smile on my client's face. I am very knowledgeable in medical equipment and transferring. I have been a caregiver or certified nurse aide for many years. I like the job because I get to work with a variety of people with varied backgrounds. I like giving good care and making people happy and feel better. Being a CNA allowed me flexibility to work and raise my children. At many jobs I was promoted to shift lead or other positions. I like working with people who need assistance.One of my patients just needed some extra attention while living in a LTC facility, and I was able to help her to get better and go home. That was such a joyous occasion! She was not very old, and working with her was very easy. I have been caring for people since I was 12 yrs old. One lady was a friend of my great grandma who was paralyzed. She had some pics of her standing up between two of her friends. She was a tall lady. She always wanted me to care for her cats. I cared for a neighbor near my parents house. She only had one arm and needed help opening cans, sweeping, cooking and laundry in an old fashioned ringer washer.I have worked in WA and in CA as a CNA and had an EMT license to supplement my skills. I have also worked for a hospice company in CA. I cared for patients in their homes that had Alzheimers, Cancer, AIDS, and more. One patient I cared for in my home in a w/c who had Downs syndrome and Celiacs disease and no teeth. He had to see a nutritionist to find the proper diet which was mostly rice and meat.
