What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is the fact the I can help someone in their time of need. My grandmother and my sister is what lead me to the passion of becoming a Certified Nurse Aide. I enjoy seeing the smiles and warm looks on my patient's face as I do my job with pride and dignity. I feel good about myself knowing that I have done some good in the world of helping someone in need. I love the servant leadership that I provide within the community. What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I genuinely do it for the love of taking care of other people in their time of need. I got into the caregiving business when my grandmother and my great grandmother Took ill back in 2014 I provided them with home care so that they would not have to be placed in a hospice where they will be able to stay at home and every since then I just fell in love and I truly think it's the best thing for the elderly to be able to spend time with the living person versus all these different people surrounding them every day who doesn't have compassion or lack communication and understanding of what they need

i became a care giver do to the fact my dad was dying and the lady that came to my house to give care never did any thing for him, i had to !!! so it hurt my heart to witch my dad lay in that chair dying and knowing that lady went to more then my house "so called helping people " but not doing a good job ! at this time i had just drop from nursing school so i could take care of my dad 24/7 so when he passed away i know in my heart that i had to try to make a difference... some people made the health field look so bad there had to be someone that loved it just as much as i did !!! so i want to school and took the course!! i love people it make my day when someone tell me just because u come in today my day will be better .. all the other ones have attitudes and they are rude! This people become a big part of you life almost like they are your family ..

My name is Florence Carter, and I have been a caregiver for over 5 years. Ive worked for several different companies. August 5 of this year I graduated from San Jacinto College- North as a Vocational Nurse. Currently I'm waiting to take my board exam (in process) to become fully licensed. I am looking for part time work until my process is complete. I have worked with a wide variety of patients in my clinical experience, mainly ICU. I do have a full background check that I can and will provide from certified profile, which shows all up to date immunizations as well as drug screen, and background. All of which were REQUIRED for school and clinical hours.
