I am a great caregiver because I first learned how to be one by helping my parents and my brother. They had certain disabilities, both physical and mental/psychological, that touched my heart and helped me realize the importance of quality of life to everyone, not just to those who are healthy. Then, I achieved 89 credits towards my BSN (bachelors degree in nursing) and graduated with honors in Surgical Technolgy from Tennessee Technology Center, First Aid at MTSU, and am a licensed CNA and am CPR/BLS certified, and have a Leadership Award from St. Thomas Hospital. I currently work at a hospital as a CNA/PCA and am looking to work part-time to possibly full-time for someone who has the need for home health and/or caregiver needs. I originally started out working with children dealing with mental illness/special needs, however, I did branch off to work with different groups of people such as Adolescents and Geriatric clients. I enjoyed it, it allowed me to gain and to have even more patience, being thankful and enjoying the moments that some clients may not get to enjoy with their family. I've achieved growing into an adult that lives and thinks outside the box, giving clients a chance to express themselves without judgment because of any condition. Listening is key and I learn more that way.
