My clients aren't just case flies they're real people who i admire and treat everyone of them with respect just as i would want someone to treat my grandparents or parents the same. My name is Joyce Tate and I am a Licensed Assisted Living Manager for the State Arizona. I currently work as an Assisted Living Coordinator and Care Team Member in an assisted living in the city of Sun Lakes. I have over 20 plus years of experience in the healthcare industry providing care for individuals with disabilities and caring for those in the elderly community living with dementia and alzheimers. I believe in building life long connections by meeting my clients where ever they are in their healthcare journey until the end of life.

It's been over 4 years now when my 92 year mom fell & broke her hip. I then moved in with her and took care of her with help from my sisters. Taking her to doctor appointments and then we found out she has dementia. Mom is doing wonderful now. She has 2 other health care with her & I am scheduled for Friday nights until Monday morning. I do all the necessary work to make her comfortable and happy. I take her on trips to see my brother in Colorado 2 times a year. She loves to go anywhere & shop for groceries. I enjoy my moms company and realized that I want to help other seniors be happy.

I am a very outgoing person with excellent communication skills. I became a caregiver because I truly enjoy helping people who are not able to perform tasks on their own I am certified in CPR and I am very dependable.

I'm a self starter. If I see something that needs to be done I take the initiative to get it done. Should I see something that the client needs or would like within the home I will do it. This includes changing light bulbs, screws, to doing dishes, vacuuming, laundry

In my opinion I am a great caregiver because I have so much passion for my job. I take care of every elderly person as if they are my parents when they get older. I want to make sure they are happy, that's all that matters to me. The thing that attracted me to being a caregiver was taking care of my grandmother before she passed away. I cared for her for about 4 years and it inspired me to go and help those who can't do things themself anymore. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing these people are clean, fed, groomed and have a smile on their face. When you can't do something on your own; that extra hand is most delightful. A personal achievement I am most proud of is getting to where I am today, because being a caregiver was a goal I had for so long and I finally achieved it and I came out on top.

I have worked with the elderly as I grew up, did some voluntary services in assisted living, loved it and decided to become a caregiver. My daily achievement is to make sure at least one has a smiley face after all.

After raising my children I became self employed and took classes and received my caregiver certificate and my CNA. I have chosen to be a caregiver because I find it rewarding and I enjoy making their days brighter and helping them to be safe and to be able to stay in their own home.I consider myself to give quality care and to be a kind, caring compassionate person. I have worked closely with Hospice and it is very important to me to make sure the patient is kept in a peaceful, comfortable and loving environment. I have chosen taking care of the elderly because I have always loved caring for people and helping them with their needs and making their days happier, safer and each day to look forward to. I also recently took classes and I am now licensed with the State to be a provider for a live in special needs adult.
