My name is Joyce Tate and I am a Licensed Assisted Living Manager for the State Arizona. I currently work as an Assisted Living Coordinator and Care Team Member in an assisted living in the city of Sun Lakes. I have over 20 plus years of experience in the healthcare industry providing care for individuals with disabilities and caring for those in the elderly community living with dementia and alzheimers. I believe in building life long connections by meeting my clients where ever they are in their healthcare journey until the end of life.

I am a nonsmoker, nondrinker, I love animals and I have a laid back personality. My husband and I moved to Arizona from Colorado primarily because of his health. He had numerous health issues including COPD, Diabetes, and was on oxygen 24/7 in Colorado. We moved here in 2016 and he passed a way in 2018 , so I was also his caregiver for the last part of his life.

Hello I cared for my Father who lived with me for the last 10 years he had dementia and passed away last October. Had he made it to December he would have been 103 years old. I miss him and I very much miss my role as a caregiver. It's all I've ever known. I love to help people and make them comfortable and safe in their own home. I love working with any age but prefer seniors as I enjoy hearing their stories and becoming more than just a caregiver but a trusted friend who may turn out to be family.

I am fun, loving and caring, understanding and very patient. I started my life time commitment in caregiving when my father had a stroke and realized there is not enough help for our seniors. I was not happy with the care he was receiving at the hospital and rehabilitation center, so I decided to provide his care for him in my home. Since caring for my father I have had multiple long term clients whom have referred me to my next client when the job ended. I have many personal and professional references. I love providing companionship and assisting others. Many of my clients have become like family.

About Me Right after high school I enrolled at C.A.C in the Nursing Assistant Program . My first job as a CNA was in Florence at the Nursing home . I wanted to be just like my mother helping people and making a difference in their lives .. The nursing home was a good start for me in my career . I formed bonds with the people I cared for and I remember how heartbroken I was when a very dear patient of mine passed away . . I worked several years as a CNA doing home health . I have worked as a habilitation technician at the Arizona training center and promoted to habilitation supervisor. I was a house manager for a pediatric nursing supported group home as well ..

My professional caregiving experience dates back from 2011 after I finished my studies in fundamental of caregiving, dementia, mental health, HIV and Aids, nurse delegation, food handling and medication dispensing amongst other vital provider courses. I started and got my hands on experience working in an adult family home taking care of six live in residents for a year. I provided personal care, companionship, and transportation services. I then moved on to an agency that assigned me two clients whom I took care of until they passed on. I was promoted to the lead caregiver where my duties involved not just taking care of vulnerable adults of all ages, but also training other caregivers and stepping in to take care of transitional clients as we found them stable, long-term care providers. It was a post I loved but had to give it up when I moved. I am well trained and state registered in Washington with an active viewable licence online and currently working on getting certified here as well. I will gladly take care of you or your loved one if given the chance.
