There has not been a task that i have not been able to handle in all of my years. I love getting to know people from diverse backgrounds and am a great listener. I initially became a caregiver when my great grand father came to live with my family when I was sixteen years old. At first it was a family duty but it quickly became a career choice. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love and enjoy helping others. It is a very satisfying as well as gratifying position to hold because you are not just assisting the patient/client with their daily living but you are also helping their families and primary caregivers as well. Taking care of an elderly or disabled family member can be a very overwhelming and stressful experience, so being allowed to help families take a well needed break from their responsibility is a very rewarding position. I began my professional career as a caregiver in 1998. I worked for several clients through the private sector before becoming employed with a home healthcare agency in 2001. During my employment there I quickly became a Senior care associate, which not only allowed me the honor and privilege of caring for patients but I was also a trainer and supervisor of other caregivers. Becoming a training/supervisor is an achievement that I am truly proud of because it proved that I was very good at my job and that I took the position very seriously. I am highly competent and very professional caring and compassionate all of the qualities that every good caregiver should possess.

My main focus of care for elderly is giving them the attention and love through the care I give them. Their well being is my priority. I am quite adaptable to any environment and because of that I'd like to think I am very friendly. I understand that not everyone is the same so I tend to approach each individual with an open mindset. This is also why I enjoy caregiving because I get to learn from them about life experiences and as they share their wisdoms. The idea that I could be of help to someone, attracted me to this line of work.

I was certified and successfully completed my Personal Care Assistant Training Course, and I had 8 yrs. of caregiving experienced, I had a sincere desire to help people in need and provide them compassionate care. I had a personality that is patient,caring, mature, and sensitive to a client needs. My personal achievement in life that I am proud of, is when I finished my 24 yrs. working as a Customer Associate.

Hi,you will find all the caregiver triats that you're looking for -patience,compassionate,attentive,reliable and dependable,not to forget trustworthy.I go above and beyond in taking care of your loved one ,Ive also been told I'm a ray of sunshine that brings joy and harmony to them and they're family.Now I don't want to boast about myself until you meet me and decide.My personal achievement ,I brought back a gentleman who was told he has 2 weeks to live -hospice care,with swabbing only ,I stepped in the day he was discharged ,family was preparing for his end of life -I brought him back to life,from bedbound for a month to sitting up and eating sandiwch on his own ,family was shocked .he happened to live for almost 2 years,I'm still in touch with the family and occasionally meet the wife and family.We are family now,they've always treated me as part of their family ,like this story I have a lot of families that I'm still in touch with ,I love my family

The number one trait that I assume to be why I am a caregiver is because I am a parent. And parents I think are the ultimate caregiver towards their children and others. I believe that I am a great one because I am understanding and caring towards anyone and everyone.

I have been a caregiver my whole life It started with observing my Mother. I don't reserve my caregiving to just people, it just requires care. I like to bring Joy to those who have lost so much, and they are usually the nicest people. In several cases I have been one of the last people to help them feel "normal" . My ideal job would be for someone who wants to "get better". I have great energy for thatAt the end of the day you feel good by helping to stretch out normal It can get stressful, but i enjoy what I do.. I have been at the feet of people who are passing, and the feet of someone who died and returned. I can help with physical therapy, am a good cook, and know our hospitals. I can do far more than clean.

I always love to take care of others and this is my dream profession,I'm a licensed nurse in the Philippines for 11 years and to be a great caregiver you should be Responsible,Patient,Compassionate, Excellent Communicator and treat other person with respect and dignity.
